bens299
Joey Barton is becoming available soon, would anyone take him? You might say no but he could be a replacement for hutch when hes injured for 3/4 of the season?

PopePiusX
I'd take him as long as he isn't serving a ban for betting on matches, as long as he isn't an absolute disciplinary liability, as long as he isn't completely over the hill and as long as he isn't the sort of goitre who thinks that quoting from philosophicalplatitudes.com makes him a genius. 1

Yes but he's a better option than Jones or butterfield.
trask43
Not for me, his personality issues aside he's been a decent player particularly at this level but he turns 36 this year, been out of the game for a while and would still command decent wages, not what we need, he would just be another jones at best. CadTheOwl
We have an issue with an ageing squad on high salary contracts. Signing Joey Barton would increase the squads average age and also increase our average player salaries. Too old, been out too long, won't be good enough. (3-5 years ago i'd have had him though).
shezzas left peg
He's a loose cannon and all too often a liability both on or off the pitch. Don't get me wrong he was a cracking footballer, but all too often either his brain or his mouth manage to bring out the worst in him. So it's a no from me. DNS
A couple of years I wouldn't have minded Barton in our squad - he was pivotal to Burnley's promotion - but not now. Past it, would want huge wages and talks ****.
twolaptops
No..................would be wondering if he had a wedge on 1-1 after his 90 + 6 (og)
PopePiusX
Why don't we sign Imhotep? Very bright lad, might invigorate our medical team with his ground-breaking theories. Some might say he's a little over the hill at around 4500 years old and mummified but, well, I think his experience could prove vital in a promotion push. 1

S72 Owl
Would have been a perfect signing for us after Wembley. Just what we needed. Think we need to look at younger players now though and rebuild.
