He was an important creative player for us during that period.......and I often wonder why this set of games against Arsenal is never mentioned. It was amazing. We so nearly beat them, and there were exciting high scoring draws.....until they comfortably beat us in the last match. But there seems to so little record of it. '79, 2-1 win (Johnson got the other I think) Me and my dad behind the Rotherham goal as it went in. 'Twas the Rotherham end so kept hands in pockets, scarves covered In '81 he signed for the famous Edmonton Drillers of the NASL Always remember the poorly educated sports journalist on the telly announcing the signing by saying: "Hornsby was arriving in Edmonton from Sheffield, Wednesday" not realising that he shouldn't have said it with the comma. bradowl
Scored a fantastic goal in 2-2 draw at Brentford, I think it was on local tv highlights show with Brian Moore down there. Edited April 7, 2018 by bradowl
