Absolute class from Jordan Rhodes

Months ago on a trip to Wednesday (The villa game I think) my lad Jacob came with me and got lots of photos with the players and getting autographs etc.

When in the car on the way home he realised he lost his programme with the signatures on, the one he was most disappointed about was Jordan Rhodes.

As a homework project (he struggles massively with his writing) combined with a genuine ask we wrote to Jordan asking for a signed photo for Jake to replace it, explaining what had happened and now we couldn’t attend much etc.

THIS is what he sent back.....

Thanks Jordan, you have made my 8 year olds bloody year!!!!! Above and beyond - love this club so much sometimes.

Thats a really nice thing he's done there mate ..

Its about time you and the family had some good cheer for a change ..

He didn't have to do this ..

Shows the class in the man.

As my wife always say fortune comes to all of us eventually..

for you  JR too and the Owls ...

Credit where it's due - good work Jordan Rhodes.

Several posters have already made the point but it's worth making again, especially from a critic of the player in question. Increasingly, footballers seem to think that they are distanced from ordinary people and don't really need to trouble themselves a great deal. So it's good to see someone go out of his way like this to brighten a youngster's day.

He’s made his year not just day , the thing is it’s totally unexpected, a photo maybe, but half expected not to get a response and it was months ago, so a great surprise.

Pleased for you and your lad. You deserve some luck after your accident.
