Sunderland - V - Sheffield Wednesday OMDT

Recommended Posts

Good morning. Great if late OP, as always. Too many Baileys Easter cocktails last night?

Your questions...

Surely Jos will sit Fernando on the bench rather than start. After 34 games injured only a fool or an irresponsible Portuguese would throw him in so quickly?

Nuhiu - likewise I think Jos will treat him and all players with good old common sense, and not give him 90.

Joao surely will start. After only 45 on Friday, plus goal plus assist he will be chomping at the bit.

Hunt will probably be rested for his pains.

Great to see Lees, Bannan, Fernando and Hunt back as topics for match day discussion.

1-3 Wednesday.

Joao x2

FF late on

The silicone chip inside her head, is set to overload....

love the rats...

Great thread lord.

Confidence may be too high for this one, but at least i feel a bit more relaxed.

5pm could be a defining moment of the season for a lot of clubs...

Good morning Lord Snooty.  Good morning all!

Sheffield Wednesday like to show their generosity and compassionate side when playing clubs facing relegation.  We give the gift of points.  We have given Burton 6 but they choose to snub our magnanimous gesture and keep themselves rooted at the foot of the table.  Do you think we will offer Sunderland our outstretched hand to help them clamber to safety?  Well let's not do that. For once let's show we have some killer instinct and finish them off.  WAWAW .  Sunderland are not included in that "We" - they are not Wednesday, they are Mackems, so FFS let's be brutal and clinical and enjoy watching them sink to the next division!

Great OMTD - our 150th anniversary was jinxed as soon as it was clear we were wearing an Ipswich cast-off.

Have a bad feeling we will lose 1-0 having set up in a desperately defensive manner (and also had a proper nightmare last night that Butters was going to get a start...)

The way Derby are playing at the moment they probably wish they had him back

We have won the last two out aim should be to go to the end of the season unbeaten, at the same time injured players coming back and getting match fit.

We need to build then be ready first game of next season, the last 3 seasons we ha e taken 10 games to get going the first 2 it cost us promotion with the 10+ points we gave our rivals starts.

Let's keep that winning mentality and hopefully score a few goals as well.

I hope for the second half team mentality against Preston today not the first half today as when we attack teams we are as good as anyone.

Win and we’re safe IMO.

They’ve just beat Derby 4-1 away; so could be starting the usual phenomena of the team that looks dead and buried and have 10 or less games to save the season; seem to beat everyone in their path, despite not winning a game for the past 30 odd games.

Good day 2:1 Wednesday (Bannan & Nuhiu)

Average day 1:1 (Joao)

No one wants to talk about bad days
