briggowl
Hi all So I'd looked at away fixtures early on in season and thought this would be a good away game, so like many, I'm gutted we sold out before I got tickets. So anyone else tempted or going in the Sunderland end? Has anyone done this before? Is it a risk in terms of being able to get a ticket or would I get one easily enough for me and my 10 year old? Any experience of this before? any tips or advise to not bother?

scram
Been in with home fans loads of times Sometimes you can get away with being an obvious away fan and not be bothered I'd say the toxic atmosphere at sunderland would not lend itself to making it known you are following Wednesday You can definitely get away with it with no problems by being sensible

pride_of_the_road
You have a 10 year old with you it will be fine. I took our young on bramal lane upper when we drew 2-2, when beattie scored that free kick to equalise we left much to the amazement of dem blades around us
airborne_rat_of_s6
You’ll have to put a crap north east accent on when you buy them. I recommend a few lines in the style of Sid the Sexist from Viz to create a cover for yourself.
Owl At Risk
Surprising that they are doing POTG given we sold our allocation out. Almost like they are inviting Wednesday fans without tickets to go! Stay safe mate.
debram
Be hard not to celebrate when we score and that may not go down well given the position they are in, would you really enjoy the occasion given the circumstances, if you're intent on going stay away from their kop and you should be ok imo. briggowl
£30 potg! no concession + snow = afternoon with Geoff Stelling. End of thread. Cheers Edited April 2, 2018 by briggowl
Rhubarb n Custard
I think you'll be fine so long as you can restrain yourself when Nuhiu slots our 5th from 45 yards.
Owls_fan_since_1983
Remember don't stand up a cheer if Wenesday score, if you are cold at home time if we winning just move from side to side
Tea Baggins
Was going to drive up myself but considering my street looks like Narnia I won't bother risking it.

MaliceInBlunderland
Having visited Sunderland personally I would rather take a good kicking than have anyone think I'm one of them. Considering you have a child in tow I wouldn't recommend it.
s.kirkbyowl
Practice saying -- "Y I man" when anyone says owt to you, and you will be ok.
