Buxtongent
Whilst shopping Sat. am., wife picked up a copy of Daily Mail. In amongst the 'sport' pages , I found, eventually, that there had been at game at Hillsborough, attended only by 26,588 (the third largest of the day) This was the column giving all the results, scorers, league tables etc., on a double page spread of Championship reports. At the bottom right was a square, 2 column wide, 2inches high entitled 'Round-up' This included reports from Millwall v Notts Forest,Reading v QPR, Sheffield United and Brentford, who had both had men sent off , and finished with the words Atdhe Huhiu netted a brace as SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY beat play-off hopefuls PRESTON 4-1. Do we have a Press box at S6, and if we do, do we strap the press in strait jackets? If not, why not? Whenever we were on TV around Xmas, the only theme seemed to be ' Wednesday, who have not had a shot on goal for 500+ minutes' and as for the pathetic commentators on ITV'c Championship live results, all fools. Then Football on 5, invariably one of the last to be shown, then only briefly. If, as frequently happens that I can't attend, I have to rely on any of these for a comment, fair or otherwise, from these p****e I can pick up any paper, or turn on the TV and probably know more about Manure ,man City, Liverpool and Chelsea. I can't even get the Sheffield Star, probably a blessing. Whilst in Newcastle in the 1960's I could rush home from Uni on a Monday to pick up my Green'Un happy days.

theowlsman
Some newspapers have abandoned their Northern editions to save money, therefore Brentford will be seen of more interest. Still the same price though. Another example of inequality in this country, with the North / South divide increasing further, whilst we continue to pay lip service to equal rights for all. Take a look at central budgets, and then investment in the north vs the south, and tell me where all the money is going. HOOTIE AND THE SHIT TU
I stopped buying newspapers years ago because they all seem so biased I rarely watch highlights on 5, in the recent game v Leeds which I watched because my son had it on, they didn't show Hutchinson's disallowed goal And as for Look Leeds which I haven't watched since 1991, I give you 5 words War Of The Monster Trucks Just a bloke, who used up all his luck in one go when he met his wife. We’re supposed to have our time filled with TV, pop music, and social media, too busy to notice. Oh yeah, and Owls Talk. 1

darklord
There's a woman in our village whom I have always had an dislike for some unknown reason. I recently saw her butt the Daily Mail and my disquiet was justified.
Owls2k
This season we have been a disgrace, so we are therefore not on the radar of the media and to be honest I am glad about that given how embarrassing this year has been. In Carlos' first season everyone was waxing lyrical about Sheffield Wednesday, how we were playing and our underdog run into the play offs. At that time we were flavour of the month, now we're a team who won't go up or down this season so I'm not surprised nobody's taking much notice.

They’ll be kissing our ass again next season whilst S2 wonders what went wrong. Nailed on.

Look North is as much of a load of Leeds obsessed drivel as Calendar though. Both as bad as each other. The bit on Calendar the other night about the Real Full Monty Live where Christine Talbot said at the end of the report "thanks to our reporter there in Leeds". It's engrained in their brains about Leeds. It's quite funny really.
