Take that out of his game and he'd be no better then Buttercup

Totally disagree

Take his stupidity out and his childish need to win every ball then he could be a premiership player

His lack of brain power is ruining him

We are better with Hutch in the side no question.

However if he is going to spend 3/4 of the season on the treatment table as a result it makes him an expensive luxury.

If , as yesterday, he he gets an early booking he is one mis timed tackle away from a red.

As others have said for the benefit of Sam and the team it's better to stick him at the back.

He doesn't have the self control to be further up.

Really? 0-0 at half time when he went off after a turgid, boring 45 minutes. 2nd half he's off and we score 4. I'm a fan of Sam, but he has to be at CH.

Err, think you will find that was said whilst coming through Chelsea academy, one for the future, and all that, its exactly the sort of stuff people espouse with no real facts,

 (George Hurst)

in all he made 6 first team appearances for The Blues in 7 years, that is not potential Captaincy in any ones book.

Had he not been so unlucky with injuries he may well have gone on to make more appearances.

And it's George Hirst, not Hurst.

Hutchinson booked straight away after a stupid late attempt at a challenge

Then Another self inflicted injury attempting a stupid tackle

Time to grow up and finally become the player he could be

If you take away this side of his game , he wouldnt be half the player he is .

Because he is a physical , fully committed player you have to accept he will pick up bookings and red cards ,and injuries.

Totally disagree, yes the odd time you might mistime a tackle or the ref gets it wrong but too many times he makes absolutely ridiculous decisions, pointless tackles, childish attempts to win a ball

To say he wouldn’t be half the player if you stoped him being an idiot is something a daft pundit would say - it’s pure cliche!

He could be the best player in the league, he has everything to excel in that position, sadly he doesn’t have the brain power

A good player on his day - but injury prone - and playing in a style which will lead to further injuries - and bookings. Overall probably not a player to retain - notwithstanding his determination , skill - and ability to lift the squad .

It's a difficult one this one . But overall , the negatives outweigh the positives . 'Head' has to rule 'heart' in these situations if we are to progress.

If you lunge in all the time for 40:60 balls, you are going to injured a lot. It might please the crowd, but it is not necessary IMO. Hutch should know that.

Over time you're not always going to get it right. I know he plays like it's his last game but it's what's good for the team that counts. Love the guy but think CB is his better position.

Hutch is a  great cb and less injured and less bookings

Next season him and lees at cb

Would try van aken at lb in preseason to see if it would work

Agree that Van Aken might be very versatile. Bookings of Hutch very worrying. Looked a nasty little bite for the card on TV. Missed it at the match it was so soon!
