Obligatory Ref's a clown thread

PNE seemed to enjoy throwing themselves around a lot and ref just seemed to let it go. Doesn't seem to matter so much when you win 4-1 though.

Agree, still think weve had some harsh decisions this year though but you make your own luck and quality players coming back sure helps

Preston players were acting up, especially the right back, which made his life difficult. They were also yapping in his ear all afternoon.

It it could have been worse but by completely obliterating them in the second half we put ourselves out of his reach.u

The kid on the right wing absolutely clattered Fox,about halfway up the knee,Fox had got there first as well, card and a freekick to us?

No freekick preston.

Never rated this ref,he was over fussy and wanted to be the main attraction

Baffling that one..Fox was trying to clear it up the line and the other bloke dived in foot up!

When he booked Hutch after 26 seconds but then when their left back went right through the back of Hunt after 10 minutes and gives the foul but no booking.

Incredible that he didn't show a card to any of their players until the 96th minute for the foul (2 footed assault) on Joao which Nando punished.

He was bafflingly poor. TBF Hunt was lucky to escape at least a booking when he went over the top on their lad in the second half by the lino in front of the South.

He is just a c u n t y   s h i t   ref.

But how does that make his life difficult?  Its quite simple- you just show a player a yellow followed by a word with their captain and then you show then a red and funnily enough they stop doing it.

No sympathy for refs who lose control of the game because of inconsistent decisions or just bottling it. He could easily have booked three of their players for simulation in the first half .

Then again the reason he didn't is because he thinks simulation is when a centre back does a two footed challenge making contact with your knee and you fall over as a result...

This was one of the problems. He had three meetings in the first half warning them about either trying to ref the game or diving but it made no difference. Should just have used his cards instead of trying to look smart. Pathetic reffing.
