Roland went about his job calmly and professionally without breaking sweat or putting a hair out of place, He was that good.

Although I did love Mel Sterland too, knew him off the pitch saw him in local pubs, we lived in same area.

you don't have to tell me how good nilsson was .......but i'm still sticking with mel .

Thome? Were you in a coma when Walker played for us?

lol

Thome not fit to lace Walkers boots. Walker oozed quality and was able to read a game a well as any centre half i’ve seen.

Roland would be like a gentle serene drive in a Rolls Royce

Mel a beefed up Escort handed down in the family, with the foot to the floor giving it everything.

Love em both but the Roller wins for me.

I have said it before, walker cheated football when he was here. He was miles away from the player at forest, played like he had no defensive partners whatsoever and was awful on the ball.

I would honestly, hand on heart, put Bougherra, Lees, Thome at least ahead of him in any team like this.

Never did it for me.  Warhurst was just as quick and could carry a ball out of defence.

Brilliant but very selfish player (although not quite as bad as his Italian team mate).... who would you leave out of my team to accommodate him....Hirst, Chapman, Waddle or Forestieri

Identical outfield 10 as mine then.

Sure if I/we was a bit older we would have same eleven with Springett in net. Heard many times how good he was, but sadly he was before my time.
