Funny thing is..... the NooYoo bandwagon started slightly tongue in cheek.

Then others jumped on board and now many do think he’s actually a decent footballer - even though he can’t jump and runs like he’s towing a caravan.

Amazing

I've always liked him. Think he's been under used here. Also, he's a player that needs to be kept fit and Carlos failed in that.

In this day and age you need at least 5 strikers of a decent standard, especially if you've got people like Hooper and Fletcher in your squad who struggle to stay out of the treatment room a good deal of the time. It would be good if we could find someone who would take Rhodes and Fletcher off us given our dire financial situation but their salaries and form are not an attractive proposition to other clubs. Winnall is showing every sign that he doesn't want to be here but he won't be fit for months anyway. Personally, I'd like to keep Nuhiu around but if we still keep all the others, then it's going to be crowded in that department.

Winnall is injured until Christmas and wants to sign for Derby.

You'd honestly release Dave and rely on Hooper and Fletcher? Hooper has a long spell on the side lines every season.

You missed out FF.

Im going on what we have now. Lose Dave and maybe Rhodes or Fletcher in the summer means we can bring a couple in, that’s besides what we might produce from the U23s.

Daves is been here what, 4 years? He’s never shown the potential to be a regular contributor with the goals. People constantly compare him to others for his commitment / lack of injuries. That’s totally missing the point, he’s just not good enough for a team supposedly aiming for promotion.

Yep, excellent OP, spot on.

You don't earn a new contract in a day you do it over time. He's worked his rocks off this season, had an amazing attitude when others have been mentally weak and scored vital goals into the mix.

I do not understand those who choose to undermine him, he's not a first team starter but if you cannot see his value as a squad player there is something wrong with you.

With Hooper, FF, and Fletcher all injured, it's good that you can still call on Nuhiu.

Some fans say he's not good enough, but he almost certainly wouldn't be playing were it not for injuries, and when your 5th/6th choice striker can come in and do a fair job for you, I'd say it's more than acceptable to consider offering him a new contract without at the same time suggesting that you're settling for less than the best by doing so.

Not entirely sure he'd sign a new contract, mind. He wants to play, of course, and once everyone's fit, he knows he probably won't.

if he leaves i wish him THE VERY BEST, he has the heart of a lion.

I don't consider FF a centre forward.

He’s been a good servant for us as have the likes of Semedo, Tudgay, JJ, Buxton, Reda and Loovens but we should be looking to the future rather than offer him and Loovens new contracts.

Loovens is 34 and 6 years older than Nuhiu. Nuhiu is 2 years younger than Fletcher and Hooper.

No.  That's not true.

What you call the "bandwagon" was a reaction to posts here and to an extent on social media which criticised him to a point beyond reason.  Not people saying that they want us to be in a position where we can move to better options. Rather, people saying he had zero ability, that he couldn't do anything, that he was the worst player they'd ever seen at Hillsborough.  Those weren't honest opinions - they can't have been, because no one could have been so stupid as to hold such an opinion, and also successfully respirate.

Try not be like them.

And as ever the thing to remember about him is that he came on a free from one of the weakest leagues in Europe. Expectations were not high.  Or they shouldn't have been.  For the money, he has been a hugely successful signing.
