#Onthisday 150 years ago - Hail the Conquering Wednesday Heroes! It was celebration time for the Wednesday Football Club as the victorious team were presented with their 1st ever trophy - the Comwell Cup at the Theatre Royal (seen next to the Lyceum)

Died #OnThisDay in 1965 the Wednesday #legend Ellis Rimmer - 140 goals in 418 games for #SWFC, a scorer in every round of the winning FA Cup run in 1935 & accomplished Jazz Pianist !
