Beauchief Owl
Interesting given that Wildsmith and Dawson means that we have adequate cover, unless we are looking to move Westwood on that is.

I don't think giving a trial to a lad who isn't 1st choice for matlocks youth team means westwood could be on his way .... 1

Come on Torry, your going to have to get your act together a bit better here. Clearly this is all part of stage 3 of the elaborate conspiracy to not pay Westwood some contract clauses. Or something.
matthefish2002
Good luck to the lad. Nice to hear it is still possible for someone from non league can find they way into a big club like Wednesday.

nevthelodgemoorowl
It's the Sausage machine, you put young raw meat in at one end and if everything works well, Golden assets roll out one by one at the other end. It's called a youth policy ! Good Luck to the Lad BTW !

Amazing how people read into it so much isn’t it? Maybe the lad is just a decent keeper and worth a trial...just a thought like.
Big Jack
Peter Swan, David Layne and Tony Kaye were on trial, didn't end well
prowl
At least the lad will get good training if he comes here. We've produced a couple of very good goalkeepers so far.
David1867
This is very positive news in my opinion, in a sense that the club are scouting non league football. All within 45 minutes of Sheffield in recent years there has been Aden Flint, Scott Hogan, Jamie Vardy, Che Adams and Lee Gregory all playing non league football. All are playing championship and above. The players are obviously there at that level and it's good that we are finally looking for them!
