Passion from Jos the Boss.

The amount of people that care about this pashun on the touchline nonsense is frightening. Shall we get him to wear fashionable attire on the touchline as well? Maybe a flat cap? That will definitely make us better on the pitch.

Boyd ran his socks off. But wasn't very good.

Pelupessy is rubbish...but you can't fault the lads effort.

Hunt probably covered more ground than anybody in the 1st half. But his final ball (or shot) was poor.

And Nuhiu works his bloody nuts off every game. But, isn't good enough.

Like I say...fault the performances, fair enough. But, you cannot criticise those players for lacking effort.

Well if indeed that is the case like you say these players need to be shown the door ASAP. Either when the contracts run out or if we can find anyone to take them. No point having players that can’t cut it and produce form like 1 win 11. Personally don’t think they put on the required effort but 100% agree when you say they aren’t good enough.

Correct and none of those would be first choice (possibly Hunt) if we didn't have so many injuries. We lack any kind of quality and technical ability currently. The tools at Jos's disposal are similar to trying to hammer a nail in with a piece of wood. Ok he doesn't show any passion but that doesn't mean he hasn't got any however I do agree with the point that encouragement to his players would help.

I'd also say, that another factor into poor performance is confidence.

And, at the minute, that is at a low point.

So, we've a mixture of young players starting out, players who have been deemed not enough for the last 12-18 months and players with no confidence whatsoever (which affects even the players who are "good enough").

I know I'm banging on about it...but this PASHUN argument is garbage.

Performance is made up of a multitude of factors. And when you look into the situation at the club at the minute, it's no surprise, players performances aren't top quality. And they aren't suddenly going to get better...it'll be a process, which takes time. Conceding sloppy last minute equalisers aren't going to help.

Do you believe Jos is the man that will turn our fortunes around? Have you seen enough encouraging signs from him?

I don't know is the honest answer.

So far, he's been forced to do the job with both arms tied behind his back.

Has he made things easier for himself? No. In hindsight, he made a mistake at Millwall, and I don't think he reacts quick enough in the game to make changes. That said, he probably doesn't have much on the bench, to change things with.

Does he have the credentials to turn things around? Absolutely. He's managed much bigger clubs than Sheffield Wednesday. And all this garbage about it "only been in Germany" is ridiculous. Making out the Championship to be some hidden beast of a league in World football. The majority of teams that I've seen this season have been average, to say the very least.

In short, I don't think you can judge him currently. He's fire-fighting with a bucket with holes in the bottom.

Do I think he'll be here next season? No. I think he'll walk. I don't think he needs the stress of the job, for little chance of reward. Realistically, we are in a state of consolidation for the next couple of seasons. He could go back to Germany in the summer, and if he wanted it, could take the Hamburg job. He specialises over there taking big clubs back into the Bundesliga. Hamburg I'm sure would be interested in him.

How does showing passion make you care?

Jos might care 1000 times more than Rowlett but demonstrates it by careful quietly examing the game.

Well he ain't doing right well at it is he.

It’s nice for a poster to put their points across in the manner you have and not resorting to name calling etc because they don’t agree with your point. Enjoyed reading your reasoning.

Probably the most successful English manager of all time was probably the most dour character ever........jumping up and down and showing perceived passion is meaningless....

Would LOVE to see what you can make out of the squad. FFS like the previous guy said ..  fighting a fire with holes in the bucket of water. This season written off granted but WE ARE NOT going down. Grow a pair. End of. In Jos I trust.

Yes, we're lacking the creators.

FF would have made a big difference in the game on Saturday, especially in the closing stages.

I concur pal. Granted it's the 150th but we've not half been dealt a bad set of cards. I don't blame Jos for not doing cartwheels at this stage of the season. He's working with the tools he's got ... we've ALL yet to see what he can potentially accomplish.
