ozzieowl Posted March 7, 2018 Share Posted March 7, 2018 they moved ball forward twice and ref allowed it. they bounced ball 3 times, we all knew that was obvious was goin to shoot. 2 man wall with smallest player ont pitch on left where ball was going, their player to left of wall obv going to move to allow shot on target. we set up pathetically and Wildsmith no attempt to go for ball. Now if Joe set up the wall he did it wrong.. if it was set-up to try to force waghorn to cross it, then Joe was well placed to hopefully deal with it. The fact he was prepared for a cross and not a floating shot, left him looking flat footed. Either way I hope he learns from it. Ipswich player back to goal and going nowhere. No need to foul, but just hold position and make them play ball away from goal. The defending for the 1st goal was just as bad as we over committed near the corner flag with 2 defenders completely out of position and we were then out numbered in the 6 yard box. He`s young and been at the sharp end of a lot of games for almost 3 months now and overall done very well but maybe a little spell on the sidelines might do him good. That's got nothing to do with injuries and lack of confidence etc. Shocking wall. Keeper yards off his line. The set up was all wrong.
