prowl
If you have a team with no confidence you need to stop losing. Organise the defence and keep a clean sheet. Build on that. The trouble is we don't have a defence that can stop shipping goals, the only one in the back line that is decent is Lees and he's not match fit. That means the midfield needs to be organised and sit deep, fine in theory but if the midfield is pants you are going to get over run unless you have pace on the break to keep their full backs from overlapping. We fail on all counts with the players currently available. With a bit of luck Hutch and Van Aken will be back in just over a week and we might start to look a bit more solid. We can thank one person for this and it aint JL. It wouldnt make a shred of difference who the manager is this season, next season is a different matter. True, but if we can get a couple of wins that should hopefully be enough to keep us up for next season. I would presume that is Jos's remit anyway. oldishowl
He is right , the players have no confidence or belief. One thing to help would be keep more of a settled team with the best players on the pitch more often but our lack of fitness seems to preclude that. He/the club can’t win. Take the two situations in context, we had one situation where Carlos was like comical Ali saying there was no issue as the tanks steamed in behind him. Not ideal. We now have a manager at rock bottom who says they lack confidence and they can’t win games as a result. Whilst it is true, there is a way of acknowledging the issue without it being code for “I think we’re f£&kd” Neither Carlos or Jos have done a good job in galvinsing everyone this season with comments after games. HisNibs
We also have a fan base who have no belief in the team or the manager. I dont look forward to match days and wish this poor excuse for a season was over already.
quinnssweetshop
All of them are pretty confident at collecting a paypacket. No problem there.... Manager included
