Hookowl
Owls midfielder Connor Kirby has extended his contract at Hillsborough. The 19-year-old has signed a new two and half year contract, committing his future to Hillsborough until 2020. Kirby has been part of the Owls academy since the age of 13 and signed his first professional contract in October 2015. The midfield man has since continued to develop with the Owls Under-23s and has been part of the first team’s matchday squad in recent weeks, earning a place on the bench for the trip to Barnsley and FA Cup clash with Swansea. Speaking to swfc.co.uk on Monday after signing his new deal, he said: “I’m really pleased, this is where I want to be, I’ve made a couple of bench appearances recently, not come on yet but hopefully that will come soon. “I’ve enjoyed every minute of my time here, I love it every day coming into training.
