@owlstalk
Injury-hit Sheffield Wednesday will assess the fitness of a trio of players ahead of tomorrow’s Championship showdown with Ipswich Town. Daniel Pudil, Frederico Venancio and Lucas Joao are all nursing problems following Saturday’s 4-0 debacle at Bristol City. Pudil was forced off at half-time with an ankle injury while Venancio and Joao have unspecified knocks. Speaking in his press call at lunchtime today, Owls boss Jos Luhukay said: “I must wait on these three players. Owlstalk Shop

The simplest solution to the question is the one that the players have spoken about ie. they were not fit under CC and were rushed back too quickly from injury at various times. Jos also said a while ago that we were now in the position of needing players that have hardly played at all to come in and play 2 or 3 games in a week. If the first teamers under CC, who suffered from a lack of core fitness but were at least keeping some kind of fitness level up by playing regularly, have all succumbed to injuries why would we expect the ones that haven't been playing to fare much better.

Mr. Chow
I’m sure every press conference a new players gets added to injury list. I’m hoping to god we sack the medical team in the summer. Wish there was a finish button now so we could end this season.
