I'm an Essex Owl
Lies damned lies and statistics eh That team would get mullered most weeks. I mean Butterfield and Fox ??

alanharper
No real surprise seeing as we played 442 for most of the season, and those players have probably played the most games overall - even though we only actually won 6 of the first 23. Just now, @owlstalk said: The stats suggest otherwise Worth bearing in mind that to be eligible for that particular squad players have to have participated in a minimum amount of games. Both Butterfield and Fox are probably only there on the merit that they're the only two b*ggers in those playing positions that have been in enough games! Holmowl
Is it simple to show the same for last season?

Hitcat
It's where Butterfield gives the ball away that's the problem. Always seems to be just in front of our defence.

And there again that's here there are lies damned lies and statistics. If it measures two yard pass to teammate (often putting them under pressure) then maybe he has the highest success rate. Does that stat indicate that Butterfield is our most effective midfield player. How many assists or chances created? And before people say he has been playing DM how many tackles/interceptions. I can only go on what my eyes tell me...
Middlewood Owl
Even that team has a bang average 6-8-6 record considering the level of investment by Mr C, probably Butterfield and Fox wouldn't start with a full squad to chose from and a fully fit and motivated Forestieri would make a huge difference. Hopefully a decent pre season and some new faces will see us challenging again.

No chance for ff to get on there or hutch, Lee, Abdi or Mathias because they've not been fit in order to get into the stats
MaliceInBlunderland
Who else but Wednesday could have an injury crisis of epic proportions, yet still have Fox AND Butterfield available for selection. Can't help thinking that somebody, somewhere in the land of the football Gods is seriously starting to take the p.iss. 1
NeonLeon
I’d hazard a guess that a lot of appearances, the FA Cup and a good result against Millwall at home accountfor Butterfield and Fox!

Our record last season without FF starting was better than our record with him. Our record with him not starting AS STRIKER was far better than when he did start as striker.
