No love for armed 'services' and not afraid to say so. You're the people who make war possible. End.

Ironically for a pacifist  that's a real grenade you've just lobbed in.

What a dump DMSTC Keogh Barracks was.

Suppose it was, but I loved it. The NAFI was packed out every night with loads of birds.

We were amongst the 1st groups to have the triservice training. Some complained that it was better at Haslar.

But not me it went from training with a group of 15, maybe 1-2 females; to training with 70 odd with lots of fit birds.

Great times for me.

Now then treve see you in Cyprus mate!!!

Been in the RAF for 22 and counting. God knows why but I can't bring myself to leave. Sat here in the cold due to heating being ripped out. Got to love this government. But despite that everywhere I go I take my Wednesday shirt.

Blame CA or OC SSS.

Think you will find its Governments and politicians who start wars, its the soldiers job and the armed forces to stop it.

On this thread you can read that most people posting have spent their careers picking up the pieces in other countries, I have never met a soldier who decided all on his own to go have a scrap.

One day your bubble will pop.

I expect the irony's lost on you... however I'm glad you're enjoying free speech...and long may it continue...for all of us...

Not just toads.

Spent half my youth in there, probably still got a bit of the sticky carpet stuck on my old going out shoes.

Sadly, its gone, like everything else that was ever good about Aldershot.

I only did 5 years; but experienced many of the great forces night clubs.

Joannas- Southsea (now gone)

Emma's - Gosport (still going)

Sam's - Exmouth (???)

Cheeks - Aldershot (???)

And probably some more I've forgot.

You really have no idea about real life.

The Armed Forces do the bidding of the Government of the time, they took the Queens shilling and do their job as best they can in often difficult situations the like of which you cannot imagine.

I love the fact you are sharing your opinion in one of the most open Countries in the World, though....Ironically, off the back of the super British Armed forces.

Don’t worry mate, each to their own.

We’ll still dedicate our working lives (and make sacrifices to our personal lives) to look after you and your loved ones.

Fast forward. I have spent the majority of my adult life defending your democracy in places that most people have never even heard of let alone wanted to visit. I have seen young men reduced to human waste to provide your freedom. You may not respect the forces but for today I am ashamed to be on the same board as you.

Cheeks closed about 10 years ago, much like all the good pubs in Town.

Once the Maroon Massive left and the Welsh Turds moved in the place changed completely.

Women, complete with their drip trays migrated east towards Colchester, drawn by the Airborne Musk-essence of man condensed. lol

All jokes aside, that's a fact.
