A57Lincsowl
NO NO NO! If we went down any decent players we have (including the youth) will try to jump ship. We could be years battling to get out of League 1 again. Hopefully, we will never be in The Pub League again in my life time. Endured to many years of that already! Cheffield Waynesday
Me personally yes. Hopefully the glory hunters who suddenly gave a poo when DC came , the snow flakes who are constantly crying on here , hopefully they will all go back to lane where they came from
Owls_fan_since_1983
It took us two years last time to get out the pub league and we nearly ended up in league two,. took United six, took Leeds three, answer no.

OhForAnotherShez
It's always assumed that it will be easier. You can win more matches, but promotion is difficult. I'll stick - please.

briggowl
No it sets us back whatever argument you use (not read it) . Finances less, ffp in ruins, players less inclined to sign, blunts better than us, just no no no no and no

Onge
It did us no good in 2000, 2003 or 2010 so it's a no from me.

Roy Of The Roasters
I thought we'd benefit from relegation from the Premiership in 2000. I thought we could regroup, rebuild and bounce back the following season. 18 years later......... You've only got to look at the Blunts struggle to get out of League 1 to realise that an immediate return to The Championship isn't necessarily easy. Relegation is greatly overrated. WhiteOwl91
Probably the worst, stupidest and unbelievable post I have ever seen on Owlstalk. And its had some big competition!

steelcityowlsfan
I don't know how you could possibly come to that conclusion. You only have to look at our scrubber neighbours to see you can have a successful side without spending lots of money. Going back into L1 would be horrific. Lichfield alien
Has to be admin if we go down..we can't let these players bleed the club dry for another 2 years or more
Athelwulf
Were we to go down, our "star" players would want out. They may even refuse to play. It would be a Di Canio situation all over again. We'd have no choice but to sell them. Other teams would be able to get them on the cheap, and use the money saved to put to their wages. We would lose millions and millions of pounds. Relegation can only help if you've spent nowt, and even then it's debatable.
