This. And add Jones to that list.

 

In Boyd’s defence he’s been out half of the season and brought back in an unfamiliar role, but the other four have no excuses. Just poor week after week after week and so little sense of fight or desire last night in a one-off winner takes all game.

 

Perhaps part of the problem is everyone knows we’re treading water waiting for next season to start. There are bound to be personnel changes, maybe even a managerial change, plus the supposed cavalry of the injured ‘stars’ returning to fitness. The players and coaching staff probably want this season to end as much as we do and it’s bound to seep into their perfomances. 

 

Yea they are well paid professionals but like we saw at Man Utd the year Ferguson said he was leaving even the very best professionals can struggle to perform if the club is lacking direction.

 

May can’t come quick enough for me.

Yes they may have been third choice but that should not stop them from having some enthusiasm and putting a shift in. They just don’t seem bothered
