Ever the pessimist
I don’t usually buy the ‘he is anti Wednesday’ claims but this is unnecessarily negative. We are hardly the first to have a low attendance for a televised cup tie. Wouldn’t necessarily want it that way but James Shield would be writing about how it makes United bigger than Juventus. Howson would be be better using his time investigating the causes of our injuries.

fred mciver
Of course, he could boost the crowd and finances by buying a ticket. I thought 20,000 was pretty good considering tv , we are crap, etc. Interesting to compare to similar games, ie Championship mid- table team v poor EPL outfit. briggowl
There was a discussion on here about tickets and attendance at the game. The general consensus is that Swansea are not an exciting team even with CC returning. Get over it. Personally though 18,500 Weds fans turning out for the game wasn't too bad. jonnyowl
I said when the prices were announced we wouldn't get 20,000. Cheap tickets don't increase the attendance, only league position will do that!

Thousands of Wednesday’s season ticket holders stayed away from S6. Only 19,427 spectators turned up. BIG D
I’ve been going to Hillsborough long enough to know if it’s a good crowd or a sh it one. Never even crossed my mind that it was poor. Howson, Shield and Biggs The only one I enjoy reading/following is Chris Holt.
PolarNigel
He's an absolute wet wipe, isn't he? Was same with the other guy (Liam?) who instead of praising DC for freezing S/T prices & making quid a game for kids, decided to go with the headline of 'no refunds this time round'. I hope Jos stirs Dooms tea with his knob before the next presser. Edited February 23, 2018 by PolarNigel
s6 owl
Dom Howson is a Huddersfield fan how he feels he has the right to take digs at us is pure lunacy. I know most journalist get their share of criticism but Dom Howson is just awful and no one can tell me otherwise.

Redfern Froggatt
just love the tired old cliches such as ''Wednesday’s expensively assembled team should still be performing far better than they currently are'' surley he realises that Wednesday’s expensively assembled team are all injured and that the teams put out under Jos have been kids from the academy and free transfers or bargain binners (other than Reach & Joao)
