sweetsheri
Pitch doesn't look great near south again. To say it's a £1m desso hybrid and we have the growing lights then it's poor.
Hitcat
I heard Doyen had it installed.

I don't know anything about the maintenance work so not commenting on that But the Desso pitches do need a specialist type of maintenance - experienced groundsmen and specific machines A decent Desso should be almost pristine throughout the season
I'm an Essex Owl
Is the pitch the reason we couldn't seem to pass the ball (even 10 yards un pressured) to a fellow blue shirt for large chunks of the second half today?

Owly Mowly
Surprised how bad it looked today. Can’t understand why it’s so bad with the desso element in it. Hope it gets some work done to improve it before next Saturday
matthefish2002
Pitch is far from perfect and but think it looks a bit worse then it plays.
Grassy knoll
It will be looking perfect in about 4 weeks time when we take on spurs in the quarterfinals on a sundrenched packed out Hillsborough!

Our set up is probably like taking a Bentley to Halfords for a service! Whatever, it doesn’t look great for a million quid
HOSTAGE IN PYONGYANG
The pitch is fine, the defence are fine, the midfield are fine. Our strikers are fine. Everything is fine. This herbal cigarette is really fine.

NYCOWL
Jesus. Its an absolute carpet compared to the pitches they used to play on. Its fücking February.

That’s not the point. Technology has moved on from the baseball ground mate. We’ve paid a million quid for a pitch that, according to the manufacturer, should be pristine all year round. SiJ
Struggling to think what it looked like at this point last season... Have to say it did look a bit cut up from where I was sitting on the North.
HarryPlopper
The weather in the last few months has been horrendous. That pitch for a very cold February is pretty damn good. Bear in mind other pitches at this level don't have to be used to train on because the training facilities aren't up to scratch. Come the summer, it won't need much love to get it back to looking absolute mint.
nevthelodgemoorowl
In the 60's Hillsborough was considered to be one of Div ones top pitches. True it looked a little drab today but still miles better than those 60's pitches did in the middle of February.
Guest mkowl
First season with the Desso it looked a bit threadbare but the growing lights were not in situ. Last season it looked ok but a mild winter helped This season a bit threadbare but plays alright. Probably due to training thereon and games played e.g. Reading in poor conditions. Certainly 10 times better than 4 years ago
