He was frozen out until 2pm yesterday when Wallace got injured.

Thorniley in same position, and Hirst - though Hirst situation has soured to point of no return

It's a shame that Hirst wasn't thrown in by Carvahal at some point or if Jos had come earlier MAYBE the Hirst situation could have been salvaged.

We had posters on here saying he was 'frozen out' until he signed a new deal. Well including him in the first team is a funny idea of freezing him out.

Gah, this poxy club of ours can't even do that right!

:duntmatter:

And they were correct - but needs must and Wallace's injury paved the way for a return.

Would anyone who is so confident that Clare wasn't actually excluded from first team selection care to explain why Clare hasn't been involved since the Cardiff game - in particular against Barnsley last Saturday?

Emphasis here on the word 'confident'.

Give it a rest son.

Clare and Hirst trained together yesterday.

Clare had been with the first team since returning from Gillingham - like most other U23s - and then after the contract issue he was pulled out of first team training and prevented from playing.

Seems that having a player in the midfield who is happy to drive forward with the ball rather than being the same as all the other like for like midfielders really changes the character of the side.

Just about to say ‘let it go Kivo’. Let people get on with their jobs and see what happens between now and the summer

Favourite part for me tonight was where he gave Johnson some of his own medicine back :)

Give it a rest. Boring now. We’ve won, move on ffs.

Clare played really well. Got a swagger about him, and really like the way he runs at players. As for Hirst, I find it quite pathetic that he was probably sat at home on the Xbox. He should be playing football, and I honestly think he will look back on this 12 months and regret it. Lads such as Clare, Thornily, Wildsmith, Kirby et al have all progressed. Good luck to them.

Do you mean Hirst is refusing to play for us?! Surprised we haven't just sacked him.
