Guest RocketOwl
Once Lees is fit and Loovens is 100% I'd revert back to a back four. Hunt. Lees Loovens Pudil. tried and tested
frastheowl
Tried, tested and utterly shambolic this season. 1

How many times has that back 4 played together this season? Id argue it's been more shambolic since they were injured and not in the side!

Holmowl
Agree with you Rocket. For the last two seasons they were miserly. Yes their level has dropped, but still the best pairing we have.

WalthamOwl
Looking forward to having Lees back, Loovens not so much.

GA6 So they weren’t awful, though not at last season’s level. I think we forget too quickly. Would many of us really prefer Fred, JVA, Thornley or Pudil?
Swiss Toni
Not Loovens.....just no. Time has caught up with him. It was only the slow back play of Carlos that made him look half decent. Under pressure he’s not what he was unfortunately.
FreshOwl
Lees and Vernancio will be solid. Loovens can go in the summer or get into coaching if he’s had enough
Jon Newsome
Agree, same defence that broke the clean sheet records two seasons running. Has to be done.
McRightSide
I’m pretty sure it would be Venancio Lees Pudil If everyone was fit. I’d be ok with that

twolaptops
Reverting to a strong defence will only guarantee 0-0 unless we get some midfielders/forwards scoring.

He’s made ridiculous mistakes by jumping in when he shouldn’t have done probably as a consequence of him thinking his legs have gone. It happens to ageing defenders. Its a shame as he’s been a top player and captain as Glenn but he should be released in the summer.

JVA has gifted goals, Fred has gifted goals, Pudil is slow (but doing ok)....we are not exactly spoilt for choice and Lees-Loovens is the best pair we have. However, it doesn’t look like Glenn can make it through more than a handful of games this season.
3mps
Loovens should never play for us again, I don't dislike the guy but he's well past it not and even more of a liability than before.
