@owlstalk
SWANS FANS WITH FA CUP FEVER TRAVELLING TO SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY FOR THE FIFTH-ROUND TIE WILL BE SUITABLY REFRESHED COURTESY OF SWANSEA CITY. The club has agreed to pay for complimentary food and drink for every Swans fan making the trip to Hillsborough on Saturday, February 17, for the early kick-off (12.30pm). Fans will receive a £6.50 meal deal voucher at the turnstiles which can be redeemed in the concourse food outlets before and during the game as a thank you to those making the long trip and for their support throughout the season. There will be a special meal deal on offer in exchange for the £6.50 voucher which includes a pie, crisps, cake bar or chocolate bar, plus a hot or soft drink. Alternatively, supporters can add £1.50 for a speciality pint of ‘The Swan’ pale ale. Manager Carlos Carvalhal will be looking for vociferous support from the Jack Army as he makes his return to his former club with a quarter-final place at stake. I wonder if doing so in the away stands would boost sales.

Kopparberg
Good idea by them. I guess with the Prem money they can do things like this. I’d heard that Stoke sometimes do free coach travel for their fans going to away games (?).

Mr. Tom
Expert trolling by DC, this - imagine how long it’ll take the kiosk kids to serve one Swansea fan ‘a pie, crisps, cake bar or chocolate bar, plus a hot or soft drink’ AND work out how to enter a voucher in the till First away fan will pop down on about 34min, then a few more in a trickle, then a torrent - entire away support will be missing for whole of second half Edited February 8, 2018 by Mr. Tom
