Fuzzy logics
On current form I see us getting 14. We really, really need some attacking players back sharpish...
Owl Be Back
I reckon 14 or 15 points from the remaining games which would put us on 47 or 48 points. Historically, teams have been relegated as follows: 2004–05 Gillingham (50), Nottingham Forest (44), Rotherham United (29) 2005–06 Crewe Alexandra (42), Millwall (40), Brighton & Hove Albion (38) 2006–07 Southend United (42), Luton Town (40), Leeds United (36) 2007–08 Leicester City (52), Scunthorpe United (46), Colchester United (38) 2008–09 Norwich City (46), Southampton (45), Charlton Athletic (39) 2009–10 Sheffield Wednesday (47), Plymouth Argyle (41), Peterborough United (34) 2010–11 Preston North End (42), Sheffield United (42), Scunthorpe United (42) 2011–12 Portsmouth (40), Coventry City (40), Doncaster Rovers (36) 2012–13 Peterborough United (54), Wolverhampton Wanderers (51), Bristol City (41) 2013–14 Doncaster Rovers (44), Barnsley (39), Yeovil Town (37) 2014–15 Millwall (41), Wigan Athletic (39), Blackpool (26) 2015–16 Charlton Athletic (40), Milton Keynes Dons (39), Bolton Wanderers (30) 2016–17 Blackburn Rovers (51), Wigan Athletic (42), Rotherham United (23) So, it really is anyone's guess as there's some significant variation in the above. The fact we are discussing this as a possible outcome though just shows how badly the club has been managed.

Yes, definitely, I seem to recall Birmingham staying up with 44 a season or so ago - and if you look further back, you will see Peterborough going down with as many as 54. For me, April is going to be the key month - with the 6 pointers against Hull and Sunderland away and Reading at home going a long way towards deciding our fate. Lets just hope we have more players available for selection by then !

matthefish2002
Although I wouldn't stake my life on it think we will stay up comfortably. But the snowflakes we currently have in the team need to buck their ideas up.
torryowl
I think it's not going to get any better until we get some creativity back in the team..........the team jos picked Saturday was a shambles and while he obviously doesn't have many options to leave Wallace & boyd out wasn't a smart move . If we have some of Westwood, Hunt, Lees, Bannan, Hooper, Fletcher, FF (does he really exist or did we dream him?) by the Bolton match I would be very confident of enough points v Bolton, Leeds,PNE, Sunderland, QPR, Hull and Reading to stay up comfortably. However, if they are not back in numbers then we could seriously struggle, as Burton and Birmingham have demonstrated.

Completely agree. Rhodes, Wallace and Boyd are not everyone’s cup of tea, but they are tried and tested at this level. They should be starting every game until the real big-hitters are back. owl4528
It's all about the timing of when our injured players are back in a settled team. But we really should have enough experience out there to be grinding out some results.

oh_weds_we_love_you
We are in a fortunate position by where at least 3 teams below us are a poor as we are - if not worse. We'll limp to safety with a long injury list, and the time to start judging the new manager is from the close-season onwards.
