#SWFC Summer 2018 Transfer Window Rumours Thread

Recommended Posts

So, are we waiting for an imaginary loan window?

Mason Mount
Harry Wilson
Jack Colback
Ovie Ejaria
Ryan Kent
Lewis Baker
Trevoh Chalobah
Sam Byram?

Sounds like Leeds have dibs on the Man City youngsters. There must be some other decent loans available somewhere though

Derby now paying for Waghorn (8m), despite saying they couldn’t spend. What’s going on there?

Apparently in for Marriot too. Think its known as sh** or bust tactics. They are obviously going for an embargo next year.

I prefer our approach this season to one of gambling £8 million plus on an unproven manager.

I don't think Derby have any issue do they, Neither Leeds it just us, Birmingham and Villa.

Derby lost 2016 £14m, 2017 £8m and what ever they lost last year but they sold Hughes, Ince and Christie which will have brought them in £20m + probably bought in £10m but like us this will be split over the contract of players.

The only difference from Leeds, Derby and Us is they have sold players we have accumulated players and sold no one.

Exactly and so had Wolves and so have Forest in the mast few years. We are unique in that we haven't sold a sausage. Hence why we are where we are.

Well Mel Morris and Gary Rowett cited it as an issue post play off defeat. Suggested they wouldn’t be able to spend like previously. Cue 15m on those two and another 4m on Jozefzoon. Nearly 20m, plus the loans of Wilson and mount.

Vydra won’t be covering that.

Derby Play Leeds at home as their first game of the season a big local grudge match for them with the history of the two clubs, most expensive ticket is £36 and potential have a promotion chasing team that they could be spending another £15m+ on players.

We start our season at Home to Hull and the most expensive ticket is £46 and so far we have a weaker squad that last season with no signing all, be it they could be match fit. Which for any other team in the league would be an expected requirement of a professional footballer and team but last season we did not have this.

There home adult male shirts are £48 each compare to our £59, here a good one as well their fans get a £3 discount if they by the tickets in advance of on the day purchases, why can we not do this and kids under 12 get a free season ticket as long as they are accompanied by a paying adult. I am not saying this to bash the owls but this is a team that season on season have invested in their team, don't charge the level of ticket prices or merchandise we do but they are still planing for the future generation of fans, we charge the kids outside of the grandstand £99 a season which in the scheme of things is £4.30 a game.

But they are playing the game so team down over price them for players. But we bought Rhodes on a 4 year deal for £8m then only release £2m of his fee each year. Derby do the same and the £20m will only be £5m in their accounts but if they get £8m for Vydra they will be £3m up.

Across at Hillsborough DC is telling anyone who will listen that he cannot invest any money because of FFP, so the knock on effect will be any offers for players will be vastly reduced.
