FFP  We will have to offload some of our Star players ,I don't count Rhodes , So Bannon or FF could be gone ,These two players on form make us tick ,Only bright spot to come out of it ,Will be cheaper ticket prices according to the survey ,ie  selling of star players and playing young players will result in cheaper tickets.

Business will pick up across the board after World Cup. Premature to chuck toys, even with early window closing, There will be manic movement after tournament.

Wednesday fans* 12 months ago: So glad we spent all that money on Rhodes and got all these ex Prem players in their 30s on long contracts. We've got their experience to fire us into the Prem and they're guaranteed to be ours for ages.

Wednesday fans* 2 months ago: Can't believe we let Loovens and Wallace go for nowt!

Wednesday fans* today: WHY WE SPEND NO MONEY... WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE HAVE NO MONEY. WE NEED TO BRING TRANSFERS IN NOW, THE WINDOW CLOSES EARLY THIS YEAR DON'T YA KNOW.

*Apologies to those that could see the current financial situation and didn't/aren't reacting this way.

Doesn't seem to have caused England much trouble playing the youngsters.

Football is evolving, becoming very much a young man's game. The prime of a footballer is changing from late 20's to lower mid 20's.

Domestically older players are migrating to lower prem clubs and the championship, our squad may look good on paper but lacking in practice without any of the key modern attributes of pace, power and energy.

True, very true, and the main reason I can’t agree with those who say we don’t need new signings Most of the players who are coming back from long term injuries, are the wrong side of that mid 20 prime

Nice to see the club have got someone at least casting an eye on the lower leagues, there’s always a chance of finding a gem and it’s usually other teams not us

Sam Smart is a very talented lad - scores loads from midfield. One to watch wherever he ends up

Interestingly he was also selected for the most recent Jamie Vardy V9 programme designed to unearth talents from the lower leagues. I think it was filmed for Sky

Interesting thanks, I took the mick earlier just coz of the lack of transfer rumours, but it would be great to snap up talented young players.  Artur came from Woking so it is possible to find decent players in lower league football
