Groundhopping Owl
Managers always tend to be cagey about allowing new signings to walk straight into the team. It would send a particularly poor message after Jones played so well last week, so we may see Joey begin on the bench.

Based on what little we've heard about JP, I was thinking Jones and he might make a very decent partnership, actually - Jonah playing his relatively stactic spoiler role and JP buzzing around behind him tidying up and spreading play wider could work well. Interesting point. It’s easy to forget that Jones is actually accustomed to playing further up the pitch, so perhaps it wouldn’t be a combination that’s doomed from the outset. That said, I’m struggling to think of attributes that mark Jones out as better suited to playing further up the pitch, his passing isn’t all that positive and his usefulness is mainly derived from screening the defence through clever positioning. goodytheowl
Yeah I'd start him, along with Winnall, can we get Winnall back and start him as well? Can't see there being a problem there at all. We'll be unstoppable

I was thinking more like Jones camped on centre spot, JP running the DM 20 yards behind him. Bonus: that gives Jones somewhere to pass nagatively if needs be, without going all the way back to our CBs.
