Great minds Walt, you beat me to posting though.

Seems plausible pal. I’m a bit surprised more hasn’t been made of it tbh. Maybe more has been made of it and I’ve missed it as once CC had quit (IMO) I didn’t really bother with the fall out.

Well said. Could not agree more with your post. I always have had confidence in DC. He may not have got everything right. But he been big enough to admit this and his choice of new manager is exactly what the club needs at this time. DC day to day involvement obviously made it clear to him what the club, team and supporters wanted and needed to change current issues on and off the field. Maybe CC could have gone earlier but I think the chairman has done the honourable thing and waited until CC had a new opportunity for employment. Not many chairman would have been so admirable in awarding CC more time at the expense of DC own popularity from supporters at a difficult time. These are none the less the qualities I like about him and why SWFC is different from all the other clubs with things like loyalty which everywhere else in football is non existent DC proved he is different in that respect. The q and a was definitive proof his desire for swfc and love for the club and his willingness to answer q's that needed his attention in answering to fans at a time fans wanted them answering. DC has a difficult job at swfc and cant keep everyone happy all the time. But if he leads the club with his 100% commitment and effort with honesty and integrity then the team will hopefully follow. DC has the opportunity to become a hero in the blue side of sheffield. Chairman done his bit recently and now its the fans turn to get behind the team, cheer them on and see a change in our fortunes and succeed in bring successes to hillsborough.

Have to say big praise to this chap over the last month!

1) Got rid of CC (although could be argued a little late)

2) brought in a CEO

3) brought in what seems the right manager with the attributes we need right now instead of going for a more known manager

4) sets up a fans Q&A forum

5) quickly backs his new manager with much needed recruitment and will continue to do so

6) even offers unhappy season ticket holders a refund!!

Been an extremely difficult season so far however feels like those positive vibes are coming back! Let’s use the rest of the season to rebuild from CCs tenure, introduce some youth and new blood in to the team and finish above those piggies!

UTO!

He's shown some nativity with the kit fiasco and has probably tried to take on too much at the same time.

Also some of our recruitment gaffes like JR could be put down to trying too hard to please / get promoted in line with his statement of intent.

However, against the backdrop of the financial and time investment he's put in, the good football we've had in the last couple of years and the general positivity / stability he's injected these are inevitable potholes. We are no longer a selling club, our crowds are up and we've got a squad which although stretched is coping just about with having 11 injured players.

He's had to put up with some uncalled for and sometimes personal stick from some of our fanbase which is unfortunate as if he has enough and decides to pull the plug we'd be up beever creek.

He is generous with his time with the fans and the feedback loop fans forums (unfortunately recently focused on the negative energy around the club during CC anti-climax) are almost unheard of in football or other service businesses.

All in all I'm going grade B—. Had we outed CC earlier and not wasted criminal amounts of money it would be B+ or A-.

We were 90mins away from A+ but am sure we'll get there with a little patience and some bravado from El moustachio!

It's all looking good for sure. I liked Joe Palmer's positive comments too.

"It has been a great challenge here in Sheffield and I hope the fans will continue their fantastic support on the club’s journey to the Premier League. “I believe it’s a journey that will meet its destination.”

Disagree with the first point, in my completely uninformed opinion Carlos walked out having secured himself a new job at Swansea before hand , if he hadn't he'd still be I charge now, the statement about the fans was a knee jerk reaction to the resignation , I don't think he had a clue Carlos would be at Swansea as Head Coach 3 days later , he just thought Carlos had had enough of the negativity from the fans .

Hopefully then Carlos was a man of his word and resigned so it didn't cost dc any money.

Always thought that CC was biding his time till he was given the Swansea nods up.

Then blames us ,the fans.

As far as I am concerned ,he turns out to be a 2 faced two hats.

Would have sacked him after the Hull non turn up.

All history now.

DC has made some mistakes and to be fair to him he appears to be learning from them.

He has had a very challenging few months and I personally feel that the mix is coming together.

I haven't seen much of KM yet so the jury is out, but with Jos I think we have a manager who has the tools to get us up.

He looks premiership quality and I think he will get there with us.

Good times are not far away, just need to show patience while Jos shapes the team and more first choice players become available.

1) Released a ridiculous statement blaming fans

2) To the delight of the Charlton fans

3) Time will tell

4) OK

5) Agree on first part, time will tell how long for

6) Embarrassing publicity

7) Won't let our best ever academy prospect train with his peers.

Very good post @flash notwithstanding I have a suspicion that those suggesting Carlos jumped before he was pushed are correct.  But we definitely have a good owner and your praise is spot on imo.

I think CC got the nod from Swansea and then quit here at Wednesday.

Im presuming he told DC it wasn’t working as the fans were turning against him and it was better to leave, hence DC’s outburst with that statement.

Carlos then joins Swansea a few days later, DC probably feels like he’s been stabbed in the back as for me he had no intention of sacking CC and was backing him to the hilt.

Love a good conspiracy.

Of course that’s right! I don’t believe in conspiracies at all but the change of events above is what happened. You could tell from DC’s pre Christmas message to the fans, he wasn’t happy and it wasn’t his choice.

Sounds like we've moved on from Doyen since then, which is even better news.

maybe Doyen instigated the swansea  move (for CC) behind DCs back which, in turn, steered him away from Doyens 'stable' of manager choices and a set a different course for the club as a consquence ? obviously DC only realised this after his rant at the fans and now needs to heel the rift

Is it hard work being so negative?  do you have to try at it or does it come naturally!

Agree with op, we could do far worse than dc, his intentions are clearly positive no matter what negatives a minority seem to focus on even now, maybe some fans should be careful what they wish for.

Early days but jl could be our best manager since big ron at this rate, even if we lose today with a depleted squad vs a top 3 or so side.

Not been so positive since dc's 1st season at the helm imo, imagine a fully fit side with maybe a left back, pacy wideman and pacy striker with potential funds from rhodes and westwood sales

WTF:    :Chansiri:

I think he is doing a fantastic job.

He's done really well standing up to Doyen, and clears people out who are no good or with bad intentions

Cc goosed us twice imo...he gets paid to go...and Swansea get their man for nowt...really dislike him and will be severely booing him if we meet again..and I make no apologies for it

Don’t worry that will be next season BUT only if Swansea keep him on after they get relegated.
