I'm pretty sure that was US Owl and yes, really funny

Didn't the Ola Tidman one end up on Wiki or something? Claiming he could only play with someone stuffed up the front of his jumper?

Thats it. Superb!! Thanks for that. Thought they were incredible.

Reda went to Eastleigh because they were the biggest club offering him a full deal, there were plenty of football league clubs who wanted him but they only wanted to sign him to a pay-as-you-play deal, there's enough money swimming around at Eastleigh that they could afford to take a punt on him. Still love the bloke.

With hindsight, it seems like those FL clubs were right to be cagey

He played his last game for Eastleigh in October so I presume he's been crocked ever since

I remember watching him in the cup last season on tv, looked a bit clumsy tbf

Ayo Obileye also played - came on as sub

He's still there, 23yr old now (22 apps - 5 goals), one of a few of our ex-trainees playing regularly in the National League

Still on the theme of hot prospects who never got round to pulling on a (Wednesday) 1st team shirt ...

DIOGO AMADO

... remember him?

He was part of that unexpected (and IMO unnecessary) influx of fresh talent that greeted our return to the Championship back in 2012

Portuguese midfielder who had just helped his loan side (Estoril) to promotion whilst collecting eight U21 caps along the way

Unfortunately things didn't work out

Naturally enough, I'm gonna blame Dave Jones' all-round demeanour but 'homesickness' was the official reason given for his return to Portugal after barely a month's worth of pre-season training

He was immediately snapped up once more by Estoril and spent the next five seasons as a regular fixture in their side

Clocking up 124 Primeira Liga appearances and scoring 5 goals - he even cropped up once or twice on last season's Loan Watch (for the opposites, of course)

Now aged 27, he's decided to try his luck in Qatar's "Stars League" by signing for Al Gharafa

Currently mid-table after 12 games 'Our Boy' has been ever-present for them so far and weighed in with 1 goal

There's always a chance the dreaded homesickness might strike again but I dunno, maybe a nice healthy bank balance is good for that sort of thing

If you can't get home sick in Qatar you can't get homesick anywhere lol

What better way to commemorate "The Return Of The King" ...

- that's Jose Semedo's first start for Setubal since 3rd December btw (a creditable 1-1 draw at home to Sporting), not his arrival back at S6 on loan or owt  -

... than to update another ex-Wednesday 'favourite' who also seemed to have disappeared down a black hole

VINCENT SASSO

He was another player to pass up the offer of an extension at Hillsborough in favour of a return to the Primeira Liga

Not sure why a deal with Belenenses would hold more appeal though

More money? Doubt it

Chances of more regular starts? Possibly

Weather, lifestyle? ...

... My favourite spot laying on the hillside at Shirecliffe watching the match for free. Pleased with the New ground though. The Hillsborough Park development is quite pleasing on the eye. The diversion of the Don and opening it up to shipping is a good Idea too.The new Hillfoot Bridge is quite impressive too conveniently linking Parkwood with Lower Walkley. See all Hallamshir Hospital patients get an unobstructed view of the ground too. See the Tree people won the day replacing Langsett and Kelvin Estates with a mature riverside forrest. Sheffield CC shows what can be done with a little planning and enterprise lol

This one's for NorfolkNChance ...

BEN SAHAR

Israeli striker, brought in by Brian Laws as an 18yr old loanee back in 2008 (12 apps - 3 goals)

Then like now, he was probably just another youngster to sign for Chelsea, get farmed out on loan a coupla times and then get shipped out

In this case, his time there ended with a £1m move to Spain (Espanyol)

A couple more loans followed - one back home to Israel (Tel Aviv), one to France (Auxerre) and then, then ...

He was picked up on a free by Hertha BSC - managed by none other than our very own Jossie (small world, eh?)

He was there two years but had another loan spell away before winding up in Holland (Willem II)

He'd signed for two years there but was released after one and returned to Israel once again (2015) to play for Hapoel Be'er Sheva

And that's where he is today,  at 28 seemingly enjoying the most successful period of his career

As a regular choice for the national side as well as joint leading scorer for side currently sitting top of the league

Obviously owes an awful lot to Brian Laws then  (... and Jos)

Cheers mate!
