OwlInCardiff
I was convinced in the first thread but I'm not so sure in this one
marshy
Were it the other way around, we'd have all said it was a second yellow. At the end of the day it was a stupid challenge he didn't need to make, yet some folks seem to make excuses for him because of who he is. Great servant, yet it's time to go. matthefish2002
20 years ago would probably not have been 2 yellows but by todays standard do think you can argue much.
N0rtherner
Definite yellow on second too sadly, inches away from having been a perfect tackle but he botched it... 1) You see him with tip of foot nearly on the ball, this would've been perfect and no yellow. 2) Somehow he misses it and places right foot on ground and now his left leg bends straight into Donaldson's left leg. 3) Donaldson no chance of getting away from this now and gets hampered. Definite yellow, Loovens nowhere near ball, only man.

Imagine if thd CH had done it to Joao or reach?? That doesn't make it an automatic yellow card though. Or has it got to the stage where every foul is a yellow card? Lord Snooty
To be fair to Glen, I think he's actually going to make it. He's going to go in and sweep the ball out for a throw and bowl Donaldson over in the same action. It's just unfortunate that he gets his studs caught and it propels his left knee forward instead. Unfortunate. But still a foul. Edited January 15, 2018 by Lord Snooty
MaliceInBlunderland
First challenge was a yellow imo. Second challenge was clumsy and probably a free kick, but never a card.

Watch it back again...Donaldson nicks the ball and loovens is on the ground, that means that he would have been in a position to create an attack. It was a yellow card sadly he’d already smashed Donaldson 2ft high into the air...2 yelllow simple.
ramone
You simply cant mis-time a challenge anymore without being really fearful for a booking. As pathetic as that is, you know this before you go into the game. Stupid decision from the Captain to go into the tackle. He's going no where. The ref was garbage throughout. Donaldson should have been booked for his altercation with Wallace. He stood and watched that unfold, watch him man handle Wallace and did NOTHING. He pulls Palmer up for the best tackle in the game. Concrete Owl
Possibly not but then Wallace should have got a straight red so hey ho.

adelphi1867
If the Piggy players had not pressed the ref, he would not have been booked at all for the 2nd foul. But that's modern football players for you.
Dronowl66
He caught him no doubt and you've got to ask yourself why with all his experience is he making that challenge out there ...ridiculous from Loovens
pride_of_the_road
If the ref hadnt sent fleck off against brizzle then he wouldnt have been trying to even it up all game. Just glad there wasnt any penalty decisions to be made

Fuzzy logics
Clumsy...his studs got caught in the turf and he fell into him, not a yellow. Sick and tired of any mistake or failed tackle being a yellow. I'm with Ferguson, referees across the board are a joke, even the FT pro refs not just those in L1 & L2. Are we appealing anyone know?
