Was it really a red card for Loovens?

Recommended Posts

Complete stupidity for both fouls. Both were yellow cards, you just can’t go to ground these days unless you win the ball without touching the man.

People have been saying that Loovens legs have gone (which they have) but it was his decision making the infuriated me on Friday. He didn’t need to slide in for either tackle, the United players were right by the touch line and a fair distance from goal. Should have moved him on and replaced him in the summer, it’s an absolute must that we do so this summer.

He gave the ref a decision to make. At the time I thought in the interests of what was a derby he could’ve given a final warning as he was quite quick to book people in a heated game.

Good job he missed the Wallace one.

 Exactly. Evened out overall.

Looking back at the 2nd yellow, it coule be argued it probably wasn't one. But you can understand why the ref did give one

Second one = no yellow,  first one = def yellow.

The second was a clumsy foul...it wasn’t reckless by any means but caught the right leg of donaladson and missed the ball, it was a yellow.

Imagine if thd CH had done it to Joao or reach??

Sadly, GL's age highlighted here as split second too late.

Not helped by a diva's dive.

What's more significant , is we had 3 against 2 here and good defensive cover for most of the match, including fast break aways.

Can't say that for most games this season.
