Plonk
Given that AVB is now a non starter, and the guy from Donetsk, and the rest of the list is fairly meh, and no one is happy with them. Given everyone wants someone who will give the squad a good kick up the arse, has wednesday in their blood, and experience of getting a team out of this league fairly recently. There is only one man that ticks all the boxes. He would unite the fanbase base better than any other candidate. And before anyone starts on about him being a nut job what are you basing that on? Having a pop at a stupid journalist ( bet the star and radio Sheffield Sheffield lads are pooing their pants at the thought) and wanting to knock that smug poopydoo shearer head off (wouldn't we all). But everyone who meets him says what a gentleman he is. he should have come here as Rons number two years ago. Well it's time now. And if he says no because he lives in Sheffield buy him a nice big house in the Peak District.

Markowski77
By far best candidate potentially available and “realistic” if we weren’t sheffield wednesday just a shame he doesn’t want to manage us
owl4528
If we could persuade hin to come he would be a brilliant manager for us, a true leader as a player so knows what it means to wear the shirt. Plus we might get ostrich burgers on match-day, innovative and lean!
benni8
Doesnt want to work in sheffield. Apparently he has stated this numerous times. Its a non starter
fife_owl
If he would manage us, he is the outstanding candidate. He’s pretty adamant that he won’t manage in the city - I guess unwilling to expose his family to the abuse of our minority of nutters. (That all clubs have)
prowl
He's a loose cannon. I just don't see him and DC working together. We need someone to give the players a kick up the ar se but he'd probably punch them in the face as well.
Taximark
In all seriousness if pearson turned his nose up at the wednesday job then maybe he is showing a lack of bottle to take it on incase things do go boobies up ...do we need someone with that mind set ? No one is expecting miricles from him and he could have the backing of someone whos willing to pump money in too, he cant be picky...there are plenty of managers out there that would jump at the chance of managing this big club . davethemagicweasel
It's a MASSIVE yes from me. Only issue is that yes he's said before he wouldn't want to manage us as he likes being able to come home to a city away from the day job. However, it's easy to say that when it's hypothetical, I think it's worth testing if he'd stick to it if the job was offered him.

I don’t think it’s a bottle thing - he clearly has a rule to keep family and work separate and simply won’t allow his family to be confronted by nutters. Oh so has he said that about his kids then because I just thought he didnt want to manage wednesday in case it all went wrong and his 1991 memories would be shattered ....does he still have young kids too ? Dutch McLovin
He’s never been approached. Whilst I can see where he’s coming from I would still make the effort he’s by far and away the stand out candidate. DC should do all he can to persuade him. I agree he is the stand out manager on the list........however he strikes me as the type of manager who would want full control over transfers which is unlikely at our club as things stand. Miffed
Would be ideal for us but ,as others have said, unfortunatley he wont. And can you blame him with our supporters recent track record of attacking people (including players wives) on social media?

theowlsman
I have no idea what his situation is but he has the right profile. So has Holloway. And Megson Edited January 4, 2018 by theowlsman
