Regarding failing businesses we aren't ever going down that route as in fairness before DC it was going to be mid table obscurity with odd relegation battle and who knows we might have got relegated again at some stage but MM definitely didn't have the cash or contacts for promotion in the modern era much as I loved him as a chairman.

Worse that happens under DC is we have had 2 relatively successful seasons and now were back to square 1.

Regarding the CEO maybe he brought her in to be a hard nosed business person as he had made mistakes to try and please/placate the fans in the past and as you say that shouldn't be happening(Although that won't stop fans moaning about it) also perhaps he misjudged his customer Base regarding corporate packages if so good luck to her and agree shop etc needs sorting but unless your a fat poopydoo like me it's not as bad as people on here make out but could be a lot better.

She’s a lawyer.

Great OP.

Most of it has been said by other posters already. I think DC now realises he's running a shitshow and needs to sort it out. Appointing this new CEO, with a CV and reputation that bad, is not very promising.

I fear some dark days ahead. Hopefully we can ride the wave and stay in this division.

The only person I blame for this situation is DC.

It is but it sums up our current situation perfectly. I've said for a while now we are heading for a fall and have been called a drama queen, bed wetter etc etc, well watch this space because it is going to be a clusterfuck of epic proportions.

It was obvious to anyone with an ounce of intelligence we were heading for troubled times ...

being proved right doesn’t make me feel any better though .

i just can’t understand how the club didn’t seem to care and are seemingly happy to sleep walk into relegation and the financial issues it brings

I'm not saying it does fella, but the signs were there for all to see.

Worrying times ahead I fear.

Wanted to sleep on it before giving an opinion

It might surprise you - but this morning I feel very sad and sorry for our Chairman. For one, I don't think for one minute he wants to fail, why anyone would think that is beyond me. The only way he will see a return on his investment is by winning promotion.

My personal thoughts are that his funding has been stopped - Ive always suspected (and I may be wrong) his funding source is his father whos given Dejphon a project to work on - which would explain why hes been able to spend so much time here in the UK. Im guessing the CEO has been recruited to allow DC to spend less time here in the UK, and Im guessing she has been chosen as someone that will be strong, and someone who can cope with criticism from fans. Because its quite clear that the criticism will grow as funding will be lowered.

The kind of monies that have been thrown at the club are incredible - and sadly did not result in the required promotion. Milan was spending £5m a year on just keeping us afloat - I'd be amazed if we aren't 2 or 3 times that currently. If we are - then we are right on the cusp of a FFP embargo - and the difficult times that will lead to.

Why do I feel sorry for DC? I think he definitely had the very best of intentions - and really did want to be the man who got us promoted (for different reasons to you or I).  But I just get the feeling the money he threw at Jordan Rhodes last year was his last throw of the dice financially - and now we are up the creek without a paddle.

I really hope I'm wrong

I miss some of the ways Mandaric did things but then also remember he said Mammadov was the right man.Chansiri just isn't a football man.Not sure he'll ever understand how to run the club.

To then appoint a CEO who is a lawyer not a businesswoman and has little more football knowledge than him is scary.

Throw in Doyen and something is very wrong.

I first had a concern about 2 weeks ago about him actually having funds available. From what i see he isn't really a mega active businessman, he has a few interests but mostly he is just wealthy by default.

If he is now reaching the point where he can't access funds easily for whatever reason is someone else (i.e Doyen) stumping up the cash in return for a strong say in the club? That's how it feels.

Great post.

Her thinking that a club is like a restaurant, if the customers don't like it they can go elsewhere shows the lack of understsnding of football mentality. I have been coming for over 60 years. I used to be a shareholder but my affinity with the club does give me some relationship which is not defined by commercialism. Morally, I do own a part of this club i.e. This club belongs to me.

I’m seriously starting to think about the situation at Man Utd when The Glaziers took over and Wimbledon. Will it get to a point were the fans are so fooked off, that they split and simply create a new club?

Its like being married for decades and refusing to accept the other party has changed (beyond all recognition) and that the writing is on the wall.

It isn’t us Wednesday, it’s you.

His bonkers outburst on Christmas eve alluded to the new CEO's appointment, twisting it into a 'well you get what you deserve' statement

“I have to be honest and say since I have been here I have found it difficult at times. When someone does something good in football, this makes everyone satisfied, they are the best, but when they do something wrong some people - and I must stress it is only some - scold with no respect at all. To these people, I say, have you never done something wrong? If anyone has never done anything wrong, they have never done anything at all. As I say, I have no problem with criticism, opinion or suggestion but this should be constructive and not damaging. If your family or your boss said you are bad all the time, do you start to believe you are bad all the time? Families are supposed to stay together, in good times and bad. I have to ask, is my worth just to invest money for our fans? Is it for the fans’ benefit and advantage only? I have never thought like this before but now maybe I start to think the same, like business.

Absolutely gutted he's gone down this route, especially while we are at the point of desperate need for unity in the fan base

It speaks volumes for his strategy going forward
