What take responsibility for not being trained and so conditioned correctly and having to play under a manager who was stuck in his ways, out of his depth and unable to identify areas for improvement.

Recruitment's probably the biggest reason why we're in such a mess right now.

If you look at our squad list & take out all the players that are either not good enough, past it or have recurrent injury problems, you're probably left with about 5 players.

Couldn’t disagree more, those players in that squad have talent and we’ve seen it with our own eyes this season , and only last week against Forest !

The level of fitness is absolutely shambolic across the whole squad, the team selection and tactics for the main have been nothing short of diabolical and when we have changed it and got a positive result the next game after we’re back to a system that doesn’t work

Carlos was responsible for this seasons preparations and got them totally wrong, he’s been in charge up until Xmas Eve and for the most part got pretty much everything this season totally wrong

so yeah, forgive me for thinking he’s 100% to blame

We are over 50% through the season and you still think fitness is poor?

You are mistaken. If you miss pre-reason there is a delay in your fitness levels catching up. There is no falling off the cliff half way through the season.

These are supposed to be professional footballers, professional athletes, this is their JOB. They shouldn't need a manager to tell them to be fit to play their best. They need to take responsibility for this season also

He presided over the decline that we are now witnessing, & he finally paid the price for ignoring the obvious for so many games. We have some decent players injured which is why you can argue that he's not 100% responsible, but he's the architect of our current plight.

"paid the price"? by getting a gig at a Premier League club?

We're the only ones paying a price here.

He built this clusterfuck before jumping ship to his truelove Swansea.

Worst Manager in our history.

The teams continued implosion since he bottled it doesn't alter my opinion.

The problems are not going to be sorted this season. Its going to take the new manager  at least two transfer windows to make this squad competitive and able to challenge for the top six.

Carlos' own statement on taking over at Swansea pointed to the fact that he has not strengthened the team since the play off final. The manner in which this came across was that he saw no reason to strengthen and would have been quite happy to have those players as first choices this season. He was bemoaning the injuries that have hit those players, conveniently forgetting that we were not playing consistently well before the majority of injuries hit us.

Carlos is 100% to blame. This feels like when Wilkinson left. The difference is that Wilkinson left because he was not given the cash to strengthen.

Chansiri Hired Carlos so partly to blame, Carlos was a chancer, mostly to blame, the Players are just pathetic  who couldn't care less either that or they are fraudsters as well and just not very good at their jobs....

Bullen as much as he loves our club and says the right stuff was part of Carlos's coaching team so is party responsible

Carlos and his staff have left us in the shit end off

someone is going to be picking up the pieces soon enough and I feel sorry for the person that is going to. Our squad is unfit and signed a bunch of players that aren’t playing for the clubs interests, just journey men picking up a wage....

I can only assume they have been doing what the fitness coaches and their manager told them to do. There is a difference between being fit and fit enough to play football to championship level. If there wasn't why would professional football clubs employ all the backroom staff. I'm sure some of the players will have queried the training methods as well as the tactics and team selections but they are paid to do what they are told.

If they are unfit to play for 90 minutes most of the blame attaches to the management. How much improvement do you think they could make to their overall fitness working alone against the instructions of their coaches?
