Popular Post Lord Snooty
Good God! Merry Christmas. Almost forgot there was a match. Absolutely smashed. And why not. For the beast is gone. Gone and tied herself to a tree in the village in an attempt to save it being felled and got herself arrested. She'll be out of the picture for a while. And I am back in the big house! Suffice to say I haven't messed about, straight in and straight on the buckfast. Sadly not a day of gorging on food, for Stubbs had been given the day off by her ladyship and was in the huge bosom of Mrs Wankskill at the Black Horse. Still I've managed to have a bit of pork pie from the larder and a gallon of Brandy.. Forest - V - Wednesday . Nottingham Forest will assess defenders Danny Fox (knee) and Matt Mills (back). Club captain Chris Cohen continues to work his way back to fitness following his knee problems, while Jack Hobbs is doing likewise after a back injury. Sheffield Wednesday begin life without Carlos Carvalhal after the Portuguese left his position on Christmas Eve. Caretaker boss Lee Bullen will hope captain Glenn Loovens is fit after a quad injury, while Morgan Fox is available following suspension. Match facts § Forest's last win over the Owls at the City Ground came in November 2012. They've drawn one and lost three since. § Sheffield Wednesday are on a run of six consecutive league victories over Nottingham Forest, conceding just three times in that run. § The Reds have faced Wednesday on Boxing Day at the City Ground three times previously and won all three (1904, 1951 and 1995). § Fernando Forestieri has been involved in four goals in three Football League starts on Boxing Day (three goals, one assist). SO Bully takes the reigns. They always seem to have a result these caretaker chaps. I have no evidence of this at all of course. And am far too gone to even try and prove it. But I've said it so I'll stick to it. What will he do? Will ha go crazy and do something totally different? Or will he play a similar set up, with similar players? Who knows. He might mix things up just to change it for changes sake. Or play safe? Got nothing to lose going for in IMO....except his job of course.... ....a change is as good as a rest though. Or something.... All guns to the decks is you ask me. Get out there and go for it. Christmas cheer. Atmosphere. Less pressure on the road. etc etc Any of you travelling to Forest tomorrow, just make sure you take care on the road. It's that time of year...... when a lot of people get absolutely ar.seholed......and so let their wives drive. Keep an eye out UP THE OWLS Top of Form 3

If you bump into me in the night, then one of us is definitely in the wrong place. More than likely me, I have become a bit confused after living in the woods. And even more befuddled since I cracked open the sherry this morning

33
There's plenty of beer, wine and bubbly in the pantry old chum as well as the turkey with all the trimmings wrapped in foil. There's an almost full roast ham too. The refrigerator is brim full, just help yourself.

Neon Nick
Nottingham Forest, don't draw, they win, or they lose...here lately, from SWFC, it's been a draw at best, a loss at worst, Wednesday won the first meeting, at Hillsborough, 3-1, Lee, Fletcher, and Hooper. NFFC regularly starts two under-23's, both of whom can score, Kieran Dowell is 20 years old, started 19 matches, scored 8 goals, Barrie McKay is 22, started 17, and scored 5. First match sans Carlos. What will happen? If I knew I'd be managing the Club, but if I had to bet, it wouldn't be on a draw. SWFC 2, NFFC 1.
Mr Farrell
We will batter them. It will be like a huge weight has been lifted from the players shoulders. Injuries will miraculously clear up, and motivation will return. They will play with freedom and expression. Bullys team talk will simply be work hard, play for each other, and enjoy it. 1-4 to the Blue and White Wizards.
marcx666
Is this now an unofficial match day thread until we get a new manager? I've got to drive to Kent and back to get the boy, so hopefully I'll be back for a reasonable time, if not it is likely to make the drive even more depressing. Oh and 33rd minute yellow for Hutch bingo
The only way is S6
Quality omdt as per. CC leaves & mi lord straight back into the manor? Any connection? Nice to see Rowley B roasting his nuts too! So, off to the shires. Westwood to return in the Lincoln green twill? Injuries healing at this time of our Lord? No, not you...... Christ only knows who'll play & how. Blind optimism. 2-0 to us. Onwards.
WalthamOwl
Excellent OP as always. Think we will win today. Will be interesting what team selection and tactics Bullen starts with. As much as I want and think we will win today I still hope DC is looking for an experienced manager and doesn't give the job to Bullen after a few honeymoon wins

Bing Cosby
Back in The Manor and bang on form m'lord! Best wishes of the season to all!! I've never been of the opinion that sacking Carlos will solve all our ills, but something simply had to change... Let's hope that Bully keeps it simple today and lets the team go out and express themselves! I'm going 1-3 with a brace for Hooper and a Adam Reach pile-driver... Come on Wednesday!!! Dylan93
Wildsmith Palmer Fred Hutchinson C Van Aken Reach Abdi Hooper Rhodes I can’r pick the other two midfielders! Pahaha. (Somebody help). Shows how poor they are! I would really consider playing Van Aken in midfield in the future.
