FFP question.

Recommended Posts

Just a quick question.

If Chansiri wants to plough money into the club but is not allowed and the finanial sustainability is in question, then why can the chairman not just buy up all of the spare seats (tickets) and all of the corporate boxes per match?

Is there a rule about that?

There must be ways round it. Why not buy all the seats and give them to youth groups such as scouts etc ... The money made on refreshments will be loads too

How has the cash he’s injected so far been accounted for? If it’s largely as loans then maybe he doesn’t want to buy loads of seats etc because the club won’t owe him anything then.  That will make it more of a risk for him .

That’s the real concern we should all have....

But he said that he wanted to put more money in but wasn't allowed. He also said that if It was a case of him spending his money then that would be no problem.

Wondered if there was a rule about him not being able to snap up the majority of the unsold seats.

But that might be him wanting to put cash in as loans which would be no good for FFP considerations which deals with losses not cash flow.

To be honest he’s spunked enough cash on us so I wouldn’t blame him not wanting to risk more. It’s how it’s being spent that is the issue.

Forget about it being the owls. In business terms he's gotta build that brand back up with the consumer.
