I just feel a sense of frustration. I'm not livid about it. There's nothing I can do about it. I'm not even that dissapointed because truth be told I wasn't expecting much different to last season.

 

I'm just mildly frustrated. 

Mildly because it nothing new. 

I haven't been convinced about our transfer policy for a long time. 

I think we have brought in players based on their name or what they have done in the past rather than whether they fitted what we needed.

 

I wouldn't care if the players came from the conference. ...as long as they fitted the mould. As long as they ticked the boxes. 

To that end I think we have fell ass little bit victim of the club trying to show statements of intent by buying 'names' rather than doing proper in depth personal scouting. 

 

As for Carlos. Yes there are issues with him. I think he's lost some of his verve.  But on top of that I think he's been hampered somewhat by our signings who dictate to an extent what we can do. 

How much input he has into them still remains a  bit of a mystery to me despite the club attempting to clear it up.

 

Are we under performing?

Yes and no. 

We know we can do better than we are doing. But...

I don't think the squad is as good as we think it is. 

I think we too as a fanbase have also fallen a bit into a trap of basing what we think our players are capable of based on previous reputation and name in the game.
