Pretty sure we drew away after they'd lost 8 in a row could be wrong? However who remembers when City had won 11 in a row & came to Hillsborough in 2004? Absolute scenes when Lee scored that last minute header. this was our starting 11 that day! Pressman, Bromby Dean Smith, Lee, Wood, , Quinn, Haslam, Chambers, Barry-Murphy, Shaw, Ndumbu-Nsungu. Subs: Poulter, Beswetherick, Wilson, Needham, McMahon.

I was actually stood at the back of the West Stand lower that day with the wheelchair section as i was looking after my mates dad. When that brilliant header went in i was running around that section like a lunatic

Johnson and Lansdown were getting dogs abuse from quite a number of fans over SLs decision not to sack LJ. Many fans couldnt/wouldn't see the long term strategy that Lansdown explained in several local interviews. He wanted a trustworthy and loyal manager with a remit of hand picking his own assistants to create stability for the club. Whilst it made perfect sense to some fans others simply saw bringing in a new manager as the answer - the old way if you like. Lansdown is a self made billionaire and an immensely clever man. His business acumen has elevated little ol Bristol City to where we are now. He's employed professional people in top jobs at AG, developed Bristol Sport where the rugby, basket ball, the women's football are all under the Bristol Sport banner - an idea he got from Barcelona. The new redevelopment of AG all came from his idea. We are very fortunate to have a local man owning our club, especially when you look at some other clubs who have nightmare owners. One very smart - and perceptive thing that Johnson did was get Bobby Reid to play as a striker based on what he'd seen Reid doing in training matches. Reid is second in the championship goalscorers chart an tbh we don't miss Tammy at all. Im long enough in the tooth to not carried away just yet but in the 50+ years that I've been watching City I've never seen the club as healthy both on and off the pitch. I saw something on twitter other day about a rovers fan who was shouting about them getting investment and how they were coming for you? what's that all about? Steelman
Hoping to get to AG in the new year and make a weekend of it. Have a safe trip here and back, just hope you have a rubbish afternoon if you know what I mean......

Egg all over Gas faces! They were on the brink of bankruptcy when the owners sold to a “white knight” family of Jordanian bankers. Cue the Gas cries of “we’re coming to get you” and the like. They thought they were suddenly up there with Abramovich. Sadly, all the Al Qadis have done so far is to lend the club £10M secured on its assets ( a woeful stadium) to pay off its payday loans and cover ongoing losses. All signs of building a new stadium and spending money on the squad seem to have disappeared. So sad.

Lincs Owl
You say Lee Johnson lost eight on the trot last season and you didn't sack him? Yes, I seem to be remember we only drew 2-2 at Ashton Gate to help you out. Remarkably, Johnson lost 8 on the trot at Barnsley about three years back and they didn't sack him either. Shortly after, Barnsley won 6 on the trot!

I think your supporter who mentioned reading about our neighbour's vast wealth probably saw this belter. It's an absolute cracker and shows what we have to put up with.
