Would you support a move to a new ground?

Yes as the attraction of the Hillsborough location as a 7 day a week source of non match day income is embarrassing at best, needs to be out near Meadowhell somewhere to cash in as a profitable business, but i don't go to games so my opinions is worth F**k All, no doubt.

To be a success if we get promoted then the club needs to move forward and modernise, not all new grounds are flatpack souless bowls, wouldn't make no difference with us anyway as our home atmospheres limp at times, the band hides it sometimes thank god...

The ONLY stand we have fit for modern day football is the South Stand and it's narrow concourses are not ideal, the rest are outdated, the West and the Kops a mess, tradition and History will only carry us so far sadly an most people need to wake up to this... it's gunna happen eventually whether you like it or not...

Most are soulless bowls because it's more cost effective that way.

What if it wasn't a horrible bowl and not on an industrial estate?

I don't see the point in redeveloping when 3 of the stands need pulling down. Those World Cup developments might have looked nice from the pictures but how much would it cost and what would the improvements to the actual facilities around the entire ground? From what I remember the fancy bits were to be placed in the new West stand.

But thats what they all are. They are built out of town on old industrial land close to major roads and motorways .

No thanks

Never!

How about we rebuild the ground at winn gardens incorporating training ground and park area and build a replica (with improvements) stadium there .

Then build  a replica winn gardens at the site of current stadia ..

Bring DiY Sos team to do it ..

Quite a good name for a football ground

Win Gardens lol

The very soul of the club is more important than playing futile keepy uppy with absolutely minted owners.

The soul is already pretty much gone for me; new kit without stripes, new badge, families being priced out of watching and apathy growing the the fan base.

Jesus where were you 10 years ago if you think there's apathy now?

I was in the stadium with my mates and family, some of whom can't afford to go now or have lost interest. Maybe that's where it all began. But, having spoken to many of the swfc fans I know, more of them are saying they're fed up with swfc and football now than ever did before.

I used to love going to Hillsborough, I'm far less excited now.

No need to move.

implement the World Cup plans and acquire property surrounding the stadium if and when possible.

More often than not, the reason for moving to new stadia is to increase capacity...our ground would be fit for purpose with a new west stand and the corners filled in for many years to come.

many clubs had to relocate to build New stadia to improve Their truly dilapidated grounds...which we also had before the 66 World Cup.  Grounds like Filbert Street, vetchfield, Baseball Ground, Ayresome Park, Roker Park, Boothferry Park, Burnden Park & The Dell were still essentially unchanged from the 1920's..

We just need to alter and extend certain parts of the ground and facilities within, not build an entirely new one and pay for the land to do so.

IMO it would just add to the way that football clubs are becoming detached from ordinary folk by becoming a park and ride venue    In an industrial estate off a roundabout off the M1...or worse still some kind of Ricoh Arena...

I get what you mean. We play better teams, we have better players, we spend millions but for me, personally, football isn't about that it's that sense of belonging and being with your mates and family. I'm 30 and I've had a season ticket without fail for 26 of those years with my dad and grandpa. My mates came to join us, as did their friends. This last year people have dropped away because of prices going up and enjoyment satisfaction going down.
