I know that there is a happy birthday to Howard Wilkinson thread already, but I'd be interested to get a gauge on how much support there'd be for putting up a statue of the man. I suppose we have bigger fish to fry at the moment (and probably always will) but how many men have supported a club as a boy, played for them, managed them - with success - become chairman/director and also played a huge part in saving them from going into administration!? I would doubt that there's anyone else in world football who can tick all those boxes.

Do you think Howard Wilkinson should be immortalised at Hillsborough?

I think someone cleverer and more motivated than me should find the cost of producing a suitable statue and set up a group-funding page.

I'd chip in.

I was friendly with some award winning bronze casters... with the artist's fee ... between £30000 and up to £75000.

FFS.
