@owlstalk
No complaints this season about the Sheffield Wednesday Kop Band from anyone It seems that they've improved no end and have finally successfully integrated with the fans at Hillsborough That's another positive surely? ramone
Absolutely Not really sure why anyone has any issue with them to be honest... All a bit petty if you ask me and without them, there would be NO atmosphere at Hillsborugh

All a bit petty if you ask me and without them, there would be NO atmosphere at Hillsborugh It's a real conundrum. Sometimes they are the only thing you can hear.... On the other hand people often say the band stops them singing... Maybe we should trial removing them, taking the seats out where they congregate and creating a little standing area where POTD supporters (first come first served) can come for £10. But only on the proviso they have to sing or 90 minutes. Killing loads of birds with that stone.

You can just imagine how that will go down with the regular season ticket holders around there... "Bloody part timers coming for the cheap seats and they didnt shut up all afternoon!!"
Orlando_Trustful
This season the atmosphere has been electric. DC funded Hemo and the crew to go to South America during the summer to learn some new renditions and style and you can see just how much their performances have improved. Against Barnsley and Millwall they were in scintillating form. Well done to DC and the club for meeting their requests and giving them a new long term contract. It's the least they deserve for their hard work and loyalty over the last few decades.
Owling Wolfe
Ive never been a fan of the band ut I have to admit that without them this year the atmosphere would be virtually non existant.

Big Ron's Sovereign
Rent a band can do one. How has the club fared since they first parped up? They inspire insipidness

full fathom five
In the bands time at Hillsborough a new breed of fan has developed that doesn't know how to sing create or a atmosphere without some cnut with a trumpet/drum. They sound particularly bad whenever England are on the tv,just ask any fan who goes to England games, an embarrassment to our great club. Another sad consequence of modern day football. sheffield_dave
Our home atmosphere is reliant on the band and so they have to stay. This is a fact that saddens me and I believe to be a damming reflection of the supporter experience in this country. There are ways and means to generate an atmosphere at a ground like Hillsborough but unfortunately a lot of them aren't palatable with the modern English game. Growl67
If we need them to create an atmosphere something’s not right. I wish they’d go entertain somebody else, anywhere but our games, it’s like some kind of torture after a bit, drip drip blooming drip.

If that’s the case let’s hire out Brighouse and Rasterick for home games or Grimesthorpe Colliery band. The atmosphere won’t be any better support-wise, but at least we’ll be able to enjoy the music

Do you know what, despite my earlier comment, you are absolutely spot on. It seems people don't know how to, or dont want, to sing and cheer at matches lately. Of course you would have turned that down out of loyalty.
