j17tjp
Gutted for him, when his bullet header cannoned off the post would’ve given him a huge boost to come away with a brace

But obviously he doesn't care according to some. His reaction and the massive smile on his face says otherwise. He will only come good if we play him for large periods and actual give him something to feed off which we did last night and should have had hattrick!
cookeh
Will do him the world of good to hit the back of the net. Really hope he gets a run of starts now. He's a goal scorer and we need goals to claw back the 11 points we are behind Cardiff.
owlZfan84
Like others have said, he should get a run of games now. That's down to Carlos though. And I'm really not sure it'll happen.
fred mciver
There can be no doubt about JR'S scoring abilities after being consisitent for so long. Millwall's manager also paid him high tribute saying he gives you problems all game. So, clearly an intelligent striker too and above aspect of his game is rarely considered. Let's hope he now goes on a fruitful run. 1-3 against Villa, JR brace and Hoops.
steveger
Looks like he may have got his confidence back, was unlucky not to have 2 or 3 looking at the highlights... lets hope he gets the chance to keep it up.... Carlos is gunna drop him for big Dave , aint he ?, just know it.... Edited November 1, 2017 by steveger

swfc4_sufc0
If he'd been match fit/sharp last night, Rhodes would have scored at least a hat trick and possibly 4, which we know that he's definitely capable of doing.

Every striker misses chances, including easy ones. What looks like an easy chance to the fans might not be to the striker, particularly in and around the 6 yard box. It only needs to be slightly behind, too far in front, too quick, defender giving a nudge. If JR sticks another 19 in this season I don't care how many he misses.
