Constructive SWFC Team Suggestions

Recommended Posts

Play on the front foot with the same aggression as the first 60 minutes today. Until Van Aken learns to defend the further away the game is from him the better.

Tell Hunt not to shut his eyes when crossing the ball.

Tell Fletcher not to shut his eyes when shooting.

Tell Lee to shoot more.

Tell Bannan not to shoot under any circumstances.

That's about it.

Oh yes, nearly forgot. Don't keep picking Wallace he's fekkin w4nk.

                  Westwood

Hunt  Lees Van Aken  Reach

                   Butterfield

          Lee                Bannan

                    Hooper

                 Joao  Rhodes

we have been predominantly played 4-4-2 all season and we have been worked out. Just try something new and unexpected. We look laboured up top yet we persist with the same two. Let’s give Rhodes and Joao a go for 5 games and see how it goes. We can’t be any less potent than we are now

It is the 4-4-2 that hinders, rather than helps us. As it stands, for me, it is a back 3 (Choose from any of the defenders, but my preference would be Hutch, Lees, Loovens).

Play 5 in midfield, Butterfield, Bannan and Lee centrally, and Mattias and Reach right and left respectively.

Hoops and Joao up top for me.

Changes in the starting eleven need to be made, and I would not be averse to giving Matt Penney a run out. The side at the moment is flat, stilted and not under any pressure from the rest of the squad.

Carlos either changes personnel, or the current majority starting eleven will just get worse.

This seems the only option to me...get bannan further up the pitch ffs

...............................Westwood

Hutchingson.......Lees........Loovens.........Van Aken

......Matias.......Palmer......Reach.....Joao

.................Hooper

.............................Winnall/Rhodes/Fletcher

Ideally we need as many players in the side who aren't playing now, because mentally they're shot, Lee having 3 bad games in a row is unheard of and case in point.

I do find it funny that in the summer people were saying get rid of fox Jaoa and Matias but now people want them in the team. Chansiri was the best thing to happen to the club. Carlos was the best manager ever. Now they are a dictator and clueless. How fickle are e as fans?

Exactly this but I'd recall Winnall and play him instead of Joao. Sums up this season that we sent our hungriest most aggressive striker who actually scored goals out on loan. An absolutely criminal decision.

And seeing as he's obviously in no danger of getting tthe sack he should give the kids a chance. They might save our season.

I still cannot believe Carlos hasn't been sacked

Put an end to 4-4-2.  We just don't have the right players for it.

Switch to a 4-3-3 or 3-5-2 formation.

Pick a central three to get a grip of the game in midfield.

Try and get some pace into the team; utilise Joao wherever possible.

Do whatever it was that worked in the past two seasons and stop doing what it is that isn’t working this season.

End of thread.

you mean keep another record clean sheets and then any goals we score we win cos' that's what we've done for the last two seasons

Football is always adapting, tactics from 2 years ago don't work as well. Teams have learnt how to play against us.

I'd go with 3 at the back, as I suggested before the start of the season.

Westwood

Lees-Hutchinson-Van Aken

Hunt-Lee-Bannan-Reach

Boyd

Hooper-Fletcher

A couple of those players are currently injured, so could slot Loovens in for Hutch and Wallace in for Boyd for now. Of long-term injured Abdi and Foresteri would come into the frame for attacking midfield role when fit as well.

Works for me bud and could swap the attacking midfield for Hutch allowing Bannan and Lee to roam a bit more and provide extra cover for back 3 especially in tough away games, at home we could even swap Boyd as you have for Hooper as he likes to drop deeper into space.

Slight flaw with your plan, Hutch and Boyd are injured
