Not a competition or anything just want to see who remembers the farthest back Sheffield Wednesday stuff. I go back to about 1975 (ish) when I got took to my first game so I'm not going to be anywhere near some of the more senior Owlstalk members How about you guys? great picture

Jackie Sewell
Oh dear, first game 15/11/ 1952. v Portsmouth, lost 4-3. Stood looking through railings at front of that little bit of Kop where Tango sits now.
wexowl
1958 "supporting" as 10 year old in Ireland. 1969 first visit. I remember being gutted when Man U beat us in their first game after Munich. and being very proud even boastful about Albert Quixall's record transfer fee. the big fee seemed to be a matter of pride then. legendaryswan
well over 50 years, its been a rollercoaster, the game has changed massively during that time,as has the world we live in. I loved the 60s and early 90s,but the 70s were absoloutley dire, the darkest era of my time at S6

owlsup
First game v Crystal Palace 1984 was 9 at the time. As someone said earlier you only have to go once. From what I’ve read in this thread, supporting the Owls is similar to taking hard drugs (not that I’ve done it!) one visit and you are hooked costs loads of cash takes up all your time ruins family relationships affects your mood live from one week to the next frequent absence from work to get your fix so there you have it UTO
