New Sheffield Wednesday
Home shirts on sale Monday

Sheffield Wednesday’s home shirt for the club’s 150th anniversary year is on sale from next Monday, 23 October.

The shirt will be available alongside a range of 2017/18 training wear.

All home adult men’s, women’s and junior sizes from 3-6 months up to 7-8 years will be on sale in limited numbers, with stock replenishment to follow as the club continues to receive further shipments.

Junior sizes 9-10 and 13-14 will be available in long sleeve only on Monday, while goalkeeper shirts will be in stock soon.

Some sizes are expected to sell out on Monday, in which case supporters can leave their details with the retail team, who will make contact when the respective size is available.

We anticipate that all stock will be replenished in good time with deliveries every other day. The club will issue regular updates via social media and swfc.co.uk so please check for details.

The home shirt, with a three-button down placket, showcases a striking royal blue body with white sleeves.

The shirt is designed and manufactured by kit partner Elev8 using the very latest technology, with extra breathable panelling on an interlock material, an embroidered 150th anniversary crest and ‘150 years 1867 - 2017’ printed below the collar on the back of the shirt.

Infants’ range this season is available as shirt only and fully sublimated in sizes 3-6 months up to 2-3 years, with embroidery in ages 3-4 years and 5-6 years.

Shirts were originally priced at £59 for adults, £45 for juniors and £35 infants, but due to the unexpected delay in delivery, the club will offer a discount to all supporters who make their purchase before Thursday 30 November.

PRICES

Adult shirts: £49
Junior shirts: £35
Infant shirts: £25

In addition, during the same period, the Owls Megastore will be offering 70% off all 2016/17 replica strip, with prices on all training wear from last season slashed by 50%.

All items adorned with the previous SWFC crest will also be discounted by 70% until the end of November.

The shirts will be available in store and the Sheffield Wednesday Online Shop, with anticipated online delivery times of up to 48 hours due to the expected demand.

Away shirt availability will follow shortly and the anniversary third kit, designed by Wednesdayite Karl Nuttall, will be worn by the team against Aston Villa on Saturday 4 November, with sale details of this special edition strip revealed in the coming weeks.

Blimey

We made the kits ourselves to save money so we all know for a fact there's plenty of wiggle room in what we retail them at. DC proves yet again that he's so far out of tune with Sheffield folk with how he's priced it. He could have got a few people back on side with this and offered them for a bit of a cheaper price given the fact that people have had to wait 5 months for it to be released. Especially given the fact it will be relevant for 7 months until we change it again.

£49 for an adult shirt and £35 for a kids shirt for somethings that has a shelf life of half a year is scandalous.

Again, a commercial stinker from the club.

Above anything else they were going to be £59 ... 59!!! Wow ! 55 quid last season was an absaloute scandal yet the price rises even more . If anybody spends £49 on that they are surely missing a few screws . Bizarrely though I’m sure they will sell by the bucket load

£6 off last seasons shirt price, increasing to £4 more than last seasons shirt price after the end of November.

Shirts expected to sell out on Monday anyway.

Just wow.

I don't think these will sell that well, 3rd kit I think will, probably break the record (whatever that maybe) but knowing the club they will only order about 250 of the third kit thinking it won't sell :duntmatter:
