theowlsman
Yes, top two, that's the way to go. We need to progress not stand still. Edited October 12, 2017 by theowlsman
Dagmeister
We'll know better in half a dozen games time. We need to keep the style shown against Leeds going starting at Bolton and continue it into some of the even stiffer challenges. Reverting to the insipid style that had become our trademark, by and large, since the Hull play-off final would be very disappointing.
York_Owl
Play three central midfielders in a 4-3-3 type formation and we may well have already been promoted.
0114
No no no. Too often the players have frozen in big games.

Totally disagree, the semi against Brighton for starters, also if the players can't get themselves motivated for big games then they shouldn't be at the club. Despite the relative quiet of the international break and the relatively uninspiring trip to Bolton coming up, this for me is the most important part of our season. If we continue in the same vein as we did against Leeds over the next few games, then the penny will finally have dropped. Taking control of games from the off, keeping a high tempo and showing aggression and desire for the rest of the season, would give this group of players a chance of the top two, despite our slow start. If we revert back to how we've been for the last 18 months, playing not to lose, trying to nick a goal and then sit back, then the ups and downs of the last few weeks will have been for nothing. We will struggle to make the playoffs, let alone win them. Over to you boys. Wawaw

Carlos disagreed totally and said that he’d been in huge derby games before in other countries Thing is though - won’t his players at those clubs have been already involved in previous derby games whereas we haven’t played United for years. So let’s say we secure a playoff spot and get through to the final Could Carlos send his team out and win the game? No. It's not Carlos playing. He can send out the team with all the tools required but they have to win. As was evident against hull, the players just didn't perform, I'm sure that wasn't down to Carlos... matthefish2002
Of course we can win a play off final. Surely Carlos has not lost every big game as a coach during his career although the amount of times the side has frozen in big games he may have to look to adapt his approach. OxonOwl
Of course we can. Leeds game was massive. Beating Newcastle last season particularly the second one. Brighton in the playoffs.

After two heartache playoffs will they want to make it third time lucky. If they want it and are up for it before Carlos gets in their ears we should win because we have a good team. If we lose it’s more of the question did they actually want it? Not is Carlos good enough

Blue and white
I have gone on record as saying I will donate £200 to SCH if Carlos can get this team promoted this season, I have seen nothing yet that has made me change my mind. What I will say is I thought the standard of the league was poor last season but this year it's even worse.
OzOwl
It’s a no from me, the very reason we are going into this weekends game wondering if we will or won’t is indicitive of the inconsistancy that has plagued us for nigh on two seasons, we always seem to roll the dice, play half a game and hope we win, the most consistant thing about this team is it’s inconsistancy! Belfast Owl 2
No way you can predict a play off final months in advance. They are a complete lottery and everyone knows that. We have failed in the past.. yes but can't say for sure what would happen this year.
