People who can't get players names right.

Recommended Posts

Although not a player, Milan Manderic used to and still does irritate me. It's not difficult especially when the poster before you has written Mandaric.

As OwlofOliveGrove mentioned Nuhiu and Joao are commonly wrong.

Outside of Wednesday, Alan Green on Five Live says Della Alli. He could just say Alli but each time insists on saying his full name incorrectly.

that's him ...well done ........I can still hear him now with " with Wednesday were grateful to stuart McCall popping up with a last minute equaliser ".....which was amazing since he played for everton

The thing I can never forget is he always pronounced us extremely phonetically as "Wed-ens-day" :columbo:

Does my crust in.

Listening to RS this morning and whoever was reading the sports report introduced a clip from an interview with "Rotherham United's Richard Woods"... It's Richard Wood!!! FFS!!

I used to sit near a bloke on the kop who continually referred to our goalkeeper as Chris Wood.

Is it just Wood(s) people have trouble with?

What other players names over the years have people continually got wrong?

Does it wind you up? Or do I just need to get over it?

NOTTS forest is one, its like calling the other team NOTTINGHAM County

French names are the funniest. A lot of commentators have no idea at all about the French alphabet

Jacks Maghomer is Alan Biggs take on Jaques Maghoma (should be soft J, silent S, silent H, soft A)

Jeremy Heeelan another (should be soft J, silent H, soft E)

.....pay attention at the back of class
